Ah, it is. It's the first day of autumn! A time for hot chocolatety mornings, and toasting marshmallow evenings, as best of all, leaping into *leaves*!

CEK, or anyone...I think we know the date of Peta and Maks' wedding.  (and therefore Julianne's  LOL )

but do you happen to know Erin's or CAI's?   Emma isn't going to tie the knot this summer is she...

Good Morning Sisters.  I have never been on this early in the morning. This is especially for Gabriele and all others whose lives are touched by having an autistic and loved family member or friend.   I was posting lots of posts on to our Beloved Community of DeKalb County, Il. FB page and came across this beautiful video of a two year old autistic boy falling in love with Snow White.  1:15

He is going to be a heart breaker when he grows up!   Interesting to watch.  I wouldn't have picked it, mainly because he made so much and so intense eye contact.  With my little guy at this age, I could have hovered around him all day without him giving eye contact or acknowledging my presence in any way.

While we are looking at diaries...  what do you have planned for your birthday coming Thursday, view?  I would be up for a celebration in the sisterhood!!!    :D

Re: Summer, the Season between the Seasons

Nearly ready to turn in....   as always hoping Niecey is making steady progress.

My eldest will come and see us for a day or so on the weekend.  He had to visit a potential research site which is only three hours away so we get to see him unexpectedly.  We hadn't counted on a visit before Christmas as he is nearly 1000 miles away.  I'm not sure how long the 2000 mile round trip is meant to take him, but probably not long enough.  He drives way too far (in my opinion....) on his own in a single day....  There seem to be little kettles to plug into the cigarette lighter socket for coffee making on the road.  I might not let him return without one of them.  ;)  Still better to coffee up than to nod off.....  argh....

I wondered about the intense eye contact.  My knowledge and experience is limited, but eye contact, but within my very limited experience, lack of eye steady eye contact has been the norm.    In the notes that accompanied the video, his mom wrote that he had non verbal autism.
