Re: Season 25 of DWTS

Why Nick and Vanessa Lachey Don't Rehearse at Home for 'Dancing With the Stars' (Exclusive Video)

When asked if the couples socialize, Maks Chmerkovskiy tells TooFab: "There's no dating, there's no lunching, there's no dinner."
It was a “Dancing With the Stars” first on Monday night’s Season 25 premiere: Two married couples partnered up with each other’s spouses in the hopes of coming home with the coveted Mirrorball Trophy.

But TooFab was surprised to discover that neither Nick and Vanessa Lachey nor Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd dance with their competition/spouse when they get home from rehearsal.

“You gotta leave it on the dance floor,” Nick told TooFab during our interview at the live taping of the premiere. “We’re all doing different dances anyway, so it wouldn’t really work for [Vanessa] and I to rehearse, plus it would last for about 10 seconds and then one of us would get mad. We’re smart enough to know…go to rehearsal, work your tail off in rehearsal, and then leave it and come home and be mom and dad.”

When asked if the foursome has gone on any double dates, Maks made sure to lay down the law.

“There’s no dating, there’s no lunching, there’s no dinner,” he told TooFab as he stood beside Vanessa. “There’s just kids – if you end up having time in the day – and dance, and that’s it.”

But Peta said she was hopeful the couples would go out together “in the future.”

“I think we should just go take a trip,” Nick said to Peta. “Let’s go train in Hawaii or something.”

“Dancing With the Stars” airs Mondays on ABC.

Re: Season 25 of DWTS

Well, I will get my act together and play this time.   I sent my trifecta to Luv.

My thoughts about the premiere...
I think Keo & Barbara will be the first to go (she overplayed the cougar by about 50%) followed by Drew & Witney (they have the rumba, not a good dance for him) or Frankie & Witney.   However, Sasha may go early, too.  She could do some of the steps, but she was an awful performer.  No energy whatsoever.

I think Jordan is terrific and the Hamilton crowd are about the most rabid fandom ever.   However, he was not an originator of the role, and I don't think he was in the show that long.   I tried to find any Hamilton videos on YouTube that he was in, and and was not successful in a cursory look.   Although a lot of people have seen the show, far more have seen the songs on YouTube and via the cast album, so I'm not sure how much support he's going to get.

I think the 2 athletes will cancel each other out.  Football/basketball probably have more crossover fans than football/baseball last time.

I think Debbie Gibson may end up dropping out.   If she gets a flare up of her Lyme disease, it could impact her ability to continue.

I think Val and Victoria were amazing.   They will do better on the ballroom dances where they are in hold and he can help move her legs where they need to go.  I'm also sure he will find creative ways of helping her as they go along.   I'm sure Jenna will be helpful once SYTYCD is over.   It's also hard to bed pure joy when you are dancing.  It's is captivating to watch and infectious.

"Carpe fucking diem!"  - Maks said it.
Sorry, I had to use this.  I haven't laughed so much in a long time.

Re: Season 25 of DWTS

Here's an interesting article on the young Jordan Fisher.  It was written when he was just 17, but gives you an idea of his talent and good character.  Adopted by and well raised by his grandparents.

His fan base is surely primarily from the Disney Channel role he's played...  but I think he will be fun to watch with Lindsay and do really well on DWTS

Friendship is a priceless gift that can't be bought or sold, its value is far greater than a mountain made of gold.
May this FriendSHIP always have wind in its sails and a sunrise on the horizon.
