are you more inland or more on the coast???

We're about an hour's drive away from the next beach to the West and equally far from the beach to the South.  The area is called 'Adelaide Hills', just East of Adelaide, the State's capital city.

Do you get to the beach often?  Of course and hour away isn't that close.  I bet you have beautiful "water".

We don't actually.  My eldest's Father lives at the coast, so he could share the water sports with him when he grew up.  But he hasn't come to like it.  With my little guy, I'm too worried that he doesn't have good enough water safety awareness as yet.  When we went there some years ago, it was on a beach where they dredge.  I wasn't aware that there was such a drop just in front of our feet.  Suddenly, a black triangular fin cut through the water right in front of us.  It was probably a dolphin, but my little guy and I were spooked by it, as it was so unexpected.  It was about as close as you would sit in front of each other across a dining table.

LOL.....will have to look that up as we use Fahrenheit temp readings. LOL

Those are the stats for summer where we live:-

In summer (December to February) the average maximum is around 29 °C (84 °F), but there is considerable variation and Adelaide can usually expect several days a year when the daytime temperature is 39 °C (102 °F) and there are generally two or more days in which the maximum is 40 °C (104 °F) or slightly above.

sounds like Florida.....is it humid there too???

We have some humid days as well, but the majority is dry, as the main wind direction is Northerly from the desert.  Is it humid where you are?
