Hey, Sisters! How are you all?
I've missed chatting with everyone...been working on a special project that is almost completed, so after that I'm hopeful to have more time to stop by.
Was in San Jose for 3 days for Granddaughter #1's Pacific District Hockey Championships. Her team played well against some stiff competition (to qualify for this tournament each team has to meet strict qualificatiions during the season--and cannot add or change players once the roster is submitted at the beginning of the season, which was back in August). For the first time at this level, the girls did well....no wins, but no blow outs and all the games could have gone either way given a couple different things happening. Referees were suspect in one game, for sure! But. you have to play the game no matter what you get!!
So our travel is pretty much over now....at least we have no more planned trips. Hoping to kick back long enough to get things sorted out before we have the invasion from the north. Daughter will be coming down with a party of 17 to sleep on our floors, I guess, around the first full weekend in April, for a couple of nights after a student/teacher leadership conference out in Ontario (CA). The granddaughters are coming with her so that will be fun! Always nice to be able to do things with them.
I hope that all of you are well and that the weather is beginning to warm up for those in colder climates. We did have a little rain coming home from San Jose yesterday. No downpour....just light rain most o fhte way. Now I think we have had maybe 1" of rain all winter!!! LOL
Well, I must go....Sweet dreams, all! xoxo

Hello Jet !!!
It is so nice to *see* you. Glad the tournament went well (that is except for some of the Referees decisions...lol) I am sure that all had fun no matter what and can be proud of how far them have went this season.
Whoa, you are going to have a house full in April. LOL Hope you have "soft" floors. LOL !!! I have no doubt that your home will be filled of not only people but of love. Can't wait to hear about your adventures with the grand kids. I am sure you all will have lots of fun making memories.

Well Sisters, We have leaped "forward" into Spring, although temps here haven't. LOL We are "below normal" today and for the next couple of days, then by the end of the week, we will be "above normal" in temps. LOL I must say, this season of weather has been a strange one. We only had snow once and it did not amount to much. No ice really to mention and the temps for the most part have been nice. Strange. LOL We are kind of in a bit of a drought, especially for the wheat farmers, crops may not be good for them this year. JET, I would love to have a bit of your sprinkles. LOL We haven't even had that. LOL
Well, got to run, I hope you all have a good day. Can't wait till we all can get together and "catch up".

Dancing with the Stars All-Athletes Cycle Will See a Major Shake-Up
Big changes are headed to Dancing with the Stars when the reality competition series returns with an all-athletes cycle on Monday, April 30.
The show will see a major shake-up when Andrew Llinares, the man who brought The X Factor over to the U.S., steps in as the new showrunner. According to the Hollywood Reporter, he'll try to take the show in a fresh new direction while also keeping Dancing's core values in tact — a feat that will be anything but easy.
"The challenge is to find a way to hold on to the key values of the show, while moving it forward while keeping current and fresh," Llinares explained to THR. "It's definitely about evolution rather than revolution. Story and emotion are absolutely key for me. With that in mind, I want us to find ways to make the stories on the show even more compelling and the emotional connection, which the viewer has to the performances, even stronger. I also want us to come up with ideas that surprise and excite the viewers every week, so that they keep coming back for more.
"While some fans may be nervous at the idea of changes coming, it should be a relief to know that another reality flagship underwent its own evolution recently to great success. For the first American season of Celebrity Big Brother, which was similarly condensed like DWTS' all-athlete cycle will be, the CBS staple instituted a few notable changes (omitting Zingbot and allowing evicted houseguests to go home instead of the jury house), but the overall spirit of the show remained the same and fans couldn't get enough.
The new season of DWTS could follow suit and shake things up by cutting out some of the show's signature theme weeks (movie night, perhaps?) in order to make room for some fresh new additions, though nothing has been confirmed yet.
While we don't yet know exactly how the show will change or which athletes will compete, we do know that Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews will be back as hosts.
Dancing with the Stars returns Thursday, April 30 on ABC.

Hi, everyone. We're hunkered down for another Nor'easter. The robotics competition went well. The robot did well, and they made it to the semi-finals. Yay!
