From Pure in regard to the voting.....For week one, the evening’s eliminations will be based on live viewer votes cast during the show’s live broadcast in the EDT/CDT time zones, along with the judges’ scores. During the live season premiere broadcast in the EDT/CDT time zones at 8:00 p.m. EDT/7:00 p.m. CDT on Monday, April 30, viewers may cast their votes for their favorite couples, with these votes helping determine the couples who will move on to the next episode. This vote will be online only via ABC.com, will open at the top of the live show and end shortly after the last couple dances. Then, at the end of the episode, overnight voting will open for phone, ABC.com and Facebook, which will factor into the week two eliminations. Toll-free phone voting will be open nationwide from the end of the live show until 5:00 a.m. EDT/2:00 a.m. PDT on Tuesday. Online voting at ABC.com at http://dwtsvote.abc.go.com/ and on Facebook at http://bit.ly/2o1VO7b will open at the end of the live show and closes at 10:00 p.m. EDT/7:00 p.m. PDT on Tuesday. During each voting window, when voting online at ABC.com or Facebook, viewers can reallocate their votes until the voting window closes.

Oh my...why are they making this season so different.

I feel cheated that the only show of this type that I watch will be so short; I don't watch American Idol, The Voice,  or SYTYCD. I just look forward to DWTS but don't know about this coming season.  I'm wondering, too, what the reasoning is. Well, I've watched the Voice a little bit, mainly to see the snipping between Blake and Kelly. I enjoy Jeopardy, but most of the nighttime shows are too violent for me. What do you guys enjoy?

I have to agree with you Annie.  I wish the season was longer and with the set up,  or at least what I have read, this season sounds a little strange in format. I hope it is still enjoyable.

I use to have several prime time shows that I watched, but for the last several years, haven't found any that I couldn't miss or even watch. Lol I usually find stations that are showing shows from years past. Lol. Of course, most are reruns, but they are so much better then the newer shows...imo.   I do occasionally come across a show that I have never seen, but again, they were made several or even decades ago. Lol

Oh, I do watch this is us and the good doctor, amazing race and Americas got talent, so I guess, I do watch prime time...lol.  How easy I forget when they aren't on....lol

I watch a lot of HGTV, and am not upset that Fixer Upper won't have another season. Chip Gaines, IMO, is great at construction and basically a good person who loves his wife and children; however, he is too dorky for me at times. Joanna just encourages his 14-yr-old boy behavior by laughing at him and telling him he is funny.

Re: Olympic Chat Party

Good Afternoon to all my sisters...

Hope this finds you all well today.  Mid 70's here in VA thank goodness.

Well we had another frightening morning today.  Got up and our dog (my granddog) was not acting right, very lethargic and not interested really in food but drinking a lot of water which is very odd for him so we decide to take him to the vet.  All his blood work was pretty normal but the xrays were not.  There was a possible mass on his spleen and what appeared to be fluid in the abdomen which meant he was most likely bleeding internally and surgery was warranted.  The hard part was if they got in there and there were spots on his liver would we choose to finish the surgery and bring him home only to wait for the painful outcome of let him go there not waking him up.  The later is we choose with the hope that there was no spread to the liver.  We waited for the surgery and by the grace of the lord there were no visible spots on his liver and the tumor was the size of a baseball.  He will be at the emergency vet overnight for observation and they will send it off to see if it is malignant or not.

This happened so very fast and I was not ready for this at 6:30 this morning or any morning for that matter.
I am telling you April is just not the best month for us.

I will be back later on today to see and post but I have some things to do right now and then we have to pick up Pabst (that is our dogs name) to transport him to the emergency vet.

Again thank you all for you support and love this past couple weeks and the past 4 years.  I love you all...
HUGS

Oh, I LOVE fixer up/construction shows. LOL  I don't have cable, so I usually just watch Public TV "This old House" type of shows.  Helped me a lot when I was working on fixing some rotten window sills. LOL
