Just watched the show.....and here is my assessment of Tom's comment on "the shy, retiring Alan.". Like you all, my first thought was about retiring from the job! Once I considered the other modifier, which was "shy", it was obvous that in context "retiring" would mean "reserved" (i.e. the same thing as "shy"). Tom was being facetious when he made the comment. So pretty sure Alan is not retiring from dancing!!! LOL
Hope that clarifies the meaning.

Thanks Jet. I didn't hear the "shy" part when watching. It is amazing how much a person misses seeing or hearing. It is no wonder why witnesses often have different versions. LOL

If you all hadn't mentioned it in the chat, I wouldn't have been looking for any "hidden" meaning, if you will!! I gathered from the context and how Tom said it that Alan must be a pretty outgoing guy with a lively personality. Tom was clearling joking with him.
I was disappointed that Tonya survived the elimination. I thot she was quite a pathetic character....unfortunately kind've confirming all the baggage from the past! . Was also surprised that Kareem was very stiff and didn't really seem to move well. I expected him to show more athleticism! That being said, I realize his BB career likely took a toll on his body...and dunno how long ago he had cancer (so glad he is still with us, tho). All that being said, I was reminded that sometimes the exceptionally tall BB players (who always play center!) are not the best players in part because of their "giraffe" status!! They just have to stand under the basket and wait for someone like Magic Johnson to pass the ball to them!!! LOL. I do remember, now that I recall watching the Lakers in those days, that was pretty much how Kareem managed to score all those points!! LOL. It was not on agility or ball handling!!! Thinking that he may take an early and gracious bow. Hope he is enjoying his time, tho.

Well Good Afternoon to you all...I have been unable to get on the internet until now.
Hope everyone is doing well today. Well how about the show last night??? I thought it was very good and I am sorry that it will only be for 3 more weeks. I think it could have been a good one if it were longer, not that it isn't going to still be good just not long enough..
Well all the "furbabies" are doing well today. Still no word on the biopsy...I am guessing it will be tomorrow. Praying for positive news.
Well it feels almost like summer today...82 and it is suppose to be 88 tomorrow...I guess we have passed spring Oh well it isn't raining or snowing so I guess all is good.
Now a bit of news.
