Its called Yesterday......its about this aspiring musician who's ready to give up when theres a world wide power outage that makes everyone but him forget the Beatles....so he starts singing their songs saying they're his and becomes famous but then ends up confessing.....it was really good and it premiered on her anniversary weekend to we went to it for her.....we had a big group (13) all wearing her team shirts....we had gone to dinner before to all eat her favorite food (Calamari).....LOL....well her fav was whole baby octopus but calamari is as close as the rest of us will get....LOL
I can’t believe they offer baby octopus in FL restaurants!!!!!!!!! LOL. Maybe in a FEW high-en Chinese restaurants (or in Chinatown!) you might find it out here, but I’ll bet nowhere close to Luv!!!!!! LOL
Well.....I couldn't believe this, but when I was at dillions....which is probably more known as Kroger......they had some baby octopus in their Susi dept.....I had to stop and stare....never saw that before....lol
LOL LOL. They must be farm raised, don’t you think? Our Kroger owned stores here are called Ralphs!!! My mental image of any octopus is this HUGE one they have in the aquarium here!!!!! LOL

Spending the first 4 days with our friends in the MIdlands, which is very different from London. They wouldn’t reveal what was planned for the American guests!!! Can’t wait to hear!!! I’ve already got everything to make granddaughter a Stonehenge quilt (the thing she most wanted to do) and grandson a Harry Potter one!!! Good thing I’m going on a quilting retreat at the end of the month. Maybe I can get them both put together!!! They will be Christmas gifts.
The trip sounds fantastic. what is a quilting retreat? Are several people going?Quilting retreat is just a weekend or however long a bunch of quilters from different places get together, lug all their sewing stuff and fabric stash, and sew all day and all nite!!! LOL. I’m going with 2 of my friends. It’s in Buellton, which is up the coast a couple hours near Santa Barbara....kind’ve on that “bottom” area where the coastline comes down from up north and makes an abrupt right turn!!! On the way (but off a county or state road) is a really neat tavern/restaurant which was a stagecoach stop. It’s been operating for well over 100 years....and looks like it!!! Very old and tiny....rustic....next to a quiet stream. Hoping to pass thru there and maybe have a meal. You kind’ve have to know it’s even there....not sure how they keep it going!!! LOL
Oh how fun....it sounds like a great time...really a wonderful retreat to relax...yet....be stressed in getting things done....but loving it at the same time...lol

Sounds like wonderful happy...honoring memories.......it was and at the restaurant when my sis in law took my two yr old niece (who's potty training) to the rest room to which she (the baby) walked proudly waving and loudly saying over and over the whole way to anyone that would listen "I potty now" we all busted out laughing as my sister in law blushed red as a tomoato....LOL
Lol...lol...lol.....how funny...love kids..they announce EVERYTHING to everyone...lol

I loved seeing the pictures and reading some of the articles.....but was a little upset that she wants to wait on children......how are we ever going to get a meryl/fedor girl to go with Charlie jr to keep the skating world on fire? Lol
I read that in the only article I think I saw that was obviously written prior to the wedding. I thot the same thing about the kids. I also thought it was rather BOLD for the interviewer to even ASK!!! Let’s face it, they have been together so long....why wait too long?? Maybe she was just throwing that out there as a distraction, tho, because I really felt it was a little rude. But I’m old fashioned, I guess.
I wonder if its because of not wanting to take a break from skating for SOI

It’s very relaxing....not to have to worry about fixing food and cleaning up, etc.....and even if you don’t accomplish your goals (I never do—at least on my schedule!!!), you at least kind’ve have a barometer of where you are on the project(s). Both the quilts I’m doing for the kids are reasonably small and start with panels, so the tops will go fast.
