Garden is done! We didn’t get the tomatoes we generally do. Not sure why, but that’s ok because we can work off the ones I’ve canned in past years. Probably have 2-3 dozen quarts out in the garage!! LOL

Oh wow....have you ever canned zucchini??? Grandma used to can a lot and she made the best zucchini relish

I have never canned it and never heard of zucchini relish but it sounds good.  I love zucchini.

Omg....I’ll get the recipe from a Grandma for you if you want me too......it is soooo good!!

LOL!!!!!  Well, get cooking then. LOL    Actually, I kind of like frozen bananas.   They are kind of like a sweet treat that is healthy. LOL !!!

Since Pabst has so many tummy problems I make him a treat of plain non fat yogurt and mashed bananas mixed together and drop little dollops on a lined baking sheet and freeze them and then put them in a baggy in the freezer, we call them icies and he loves them.  They arent bad to eat either.

LOL.....they do sound good.....for you....and him. LOL

   LOL
As long as they don’t taste like pet food!!!

I absolutely love him, and he’s an incredible person. We have this friendship that I have no doubt in my mind is a life-long friendship.  Getting a chance to know him away from training for Dancing With the Stars, I think we've gotten a chance to know each other in a different way, which of course just makes you closer. What is the difference between a buckle and a cobbler or a crumble???!! LOL

From what I found out a buckle has a cake texture, a cobbler has a crust like a pie crust and a crumble has a crumbly topping on it.  The buckle you make a batter pour it in a pan and drop the fruit you want to use in the batter and put it in the oven bake it then take it out and sprinkle sugar on top and put it back in the oven for about 10 more minutes.

That is the best explanation I have ever seen! THANKS!!

I had to look it up when my son asked me about it.  LOL

No....I don’t have a pressure canner.  You can’t water bath low acid vegetables. I do grate and freeze it, tho.  Make zucchini bread and other stuff later on.

I love zucchini....but have never canned it myself

If you don’t refrigerate it, it will last a long time just in the open air.
