Oh.......poor little Bit.....HUGS!!!! Is she scared? or is it because things are now so up in the air with everything? Tell her, her online "aunties' are sending her love and virtual hugs.......We were having such a nice visit. To get whisked away was awful. My nephew was a preemie born in 2020. We had never met him. And she adores her 5 year old cousin.
Oh wow....that’s rough to have to just leave.....
For sure. So sorry.

Oh my Vmmm I know that was a shocker too…Were you and Little Bit around them? Just glad you are here with us.We were all masked and in an open garage. Our exposure was minimal, but we were visiting my little nephew for the first time. He is obviously unvaccinated.
Little Bit and my niece both just git their first shots. Probably okay, but ugh! Not sure what's happening for Turkey Day. We were staying home, anyway, but the college girls were planning to come home tomorrow.
The great thing is that kids 0-20 are generally immune or are asymptomatic. My 2 little nieces in AZ got it a few weeks back. Fever for 12 hours and the only reason their mom knew they had it was the younger one said food tasted weird!!
Hubby just had sinus issues and a fever for less than 24 hours. No other symptoms.

Just tacos!! Easy to do for the lazy wife!!! LOLLOL!!! now, now.......you were just taking it easy until the big "turkey" day.....LOL I am sure you will be doing more helping then explaining how to make the dinner.....LOL
Oh, I am creating a recipe book for her so she will have something tangible for when she might want to do it herself! He wanted her to learn to make a traditional TG dinner. I felt honored that he asked me to do that! This “kid”” (now 43!) spent everything TG and Christmas with us during their college years….and was here once or twice during the summer also. They are such fun!
How nice of you to do that for them. I am sure that they will love the recipe book AND that must be pretty flattering that he asked you to help her.....your food must have really made an impression on him. LOL

Vmm.....how is your sister or brother doing with the news? Are they really worried having such young children, especially a preemie?
They seemed a bit worried. I felt horrible, and the stress of having to drive home mostly in the dark made it worse.

He would normally take off Thanksgiving but since his mom passed away he just would take the night off and go to our nieces house. But with COVID we don’t’ go anymore.
We will do Christmas Eve Eve with my son and his family since everyone has been vaccinated.
For me the holidays are not the same since COVID. The most important thing that I have found is that isn’t about the gifts but about the family together and with that not happening because of COVID made me realize how important the little things are.I agree about the family. And as the kids get older, it gets tougher to get things for the kids because they don’t need anything.
True. Unlike when I was younger we didn’t get things all year long and just waited for the Sears Christmas Catalog to come and we could write a list a mile long for Santa and get one or two things. LOL
That was soooo much better! Something to look forward to and then it was always a real treat when you got something on the list!!

And he was vaccinated, right? That’s the part that bothers me. Get the vax and get covid! I don’t remember getting polio from the vaccine!

That’s the hard part about this whole Covid thing.....so many things all have the same symptoms
