I have been keeping track of our national artistic swimming team. They are at Worlds and trying to make the Olympics for the first time since 2008, I believe. I am also into the Super Bowl hype. I don't usually watch when the Patriots aren't in it, but I am invested.
Is that what they use to call synchronized swimming????

Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome
Basically, she gets dizzy going from lying down to sitting ang sitting to standing. She has fainted a couple of times.
Oh my!!!!! Praying for her. Is she on meds? Will this be a life time thing she will have to deal with?
She is not on any meds for it at this point . She just went off a migraine med that can make it worse. She is also taking salt pills and increasing water intake and is wearing compression stockings. There is no "cure", but these are things that can help. Exercise also helps, but if you overdo it, it makes it worse.
Glad that there are things that will help her. HUGS......will keep her in my prayers. It does sound like she will have to be really careful not to over do things. Hard when you are so young. Again, will keep her in my thoughts.

How are D2 and Star doing???D2 is doing well. She has a new job that she likes a lot better than the previous one. She is also mentoring a robotics team, and this is build season. Star is having a rough time health-wise. She was recently diagnosed with POTS, and she is having a bad flare-up. She is cutting back on classes in an effort to get healthier.
Oh dear......poor Star. Do the Drs think it was caused by Covid? She had that, right? I am not quite sure what POTS is.
It has to do with the anatomical nerve…and it causes a variety of symptoms. Very difficult to control.

Oh, yikes, I completely forgot. I don't have that many recipes, but I have my mom's chocolate chip cookie recipe and my Nana's apple pie recipe, at least.
Any thing is fine to add to it.
I have a recipe for a piña colada cake everyone here likes
I have about 25 recipes——-about half of them are typed for you! I need to get back to the rest.

Oh how neat. I hope they make it. It would be nice to have someone we "know" to root for. LOL!!!!!
Who do you want to win the SB Chiefs or 49's?

Dummy here........I have no idea where the anatomical nerve is......but since we have been talking about "heart things", I am guessing it is somewhere in it?????

Thank you both!
Add my prayers as well. It has taken my niece several years to be able to live with how she feels and what she has to do.

What type of dance does she do?She does lyrical and tap. Her dance teacher just formed a pre-competition lyrical group, and they are getting ready to compete--maybe not until next year, but they may possibly do one competition this year in late May. She had that class right after school, and then she had her non-competition lyrical class. She had her tap solo tonight. She is also doing a tap duet on Fridays. There are only two of them in her age group doing tap. D2 was on dance team for tap, and she is Little Bit's role model. She would love to compete in tap some day.
My daughter loved tap. She took dance for 15 years. She did tap, ballet, jazz and toe. She was really good dancing toe.
My mom loves the "toe dancers". Little Bit would have made it to 15 years by her senior year, but she lost a year because of Covid. They get trophies at 5, 10, and 15 years. So she is getting her 10-year this year instead of last year. She is very salty about it and says she is coming back for a year after she graduates to get that 15 year trophy.

I felt that way after I had my son. I couldn't stand the thought of someone else seeing him take his fist step or saying his first word. It was tough but we made it.I know… I was very fortunate that we had our own business and I could call the shots and didn’t have to be there all that much when the kids were little.
Hey Jet how was dinner????
It was good! This place (Fortune Cookies) has very tasty food. They move down the road from they were when we first discovered them, but worth the extra couple miles!
