    Not quite, Annie!!!  I remember her as the first Olympic figure skater I recall hearing about or seeing on the TV coverage (in B&W!).  I was a very young teen and remember being intrigued with the fact that she married a fellow skater.  I always thought she married David (brother of Hayes)....so it has been a very long time since I have thought about Carol Heiss.  I read her Wikipedia and she retired after winning the gold in 1960---probably another reason I haven't known much about her life since then.

    I absolutely love him, and he’s an incredible person. We have this friendship that I have no doubt in my mind is a life-long friendship.  Getting a chance to know him away from training for Dancing With the Stars, I think we've gotten a chance to know each other in a different way, which of course just makes you closer.     Hope you all had a pleasant Sunday....and remember that tomorrow...."Presidents' Day".... is (IMO) a way of diminishing the importance of our 1st and 16th presidents.  By consolidating two very significant presidents into a generic Monday holiday it is too easy to forget why we have the holiday In the first place!!  Sadly, I think most of our Monday holidays have become inconsequential, which is unfortunate.  It was only the loud voice of veterans that retained November 11 as their day of remembrance rather than slinging it onto a "nearby" Monday..
