We've had a rocky start to school.  They sometimes call around 20 mins after I dropped him off in the morning.  The quickest was this week.  I hadn't made it through the first intersection when the call came.  
On the positive note, we will get substantial support for the first time under a new scheme.  Downside is, you have to 'present' your child's case and convince the funding body that this and that help is necessary for the child to achieve the goals.  So plenty to stress out about as every parent wants to do as well as is possible for their child.

I evacuated two more times last months when we had a fresh fire outbreak within 5 kms together with strong winds.  Autumn is clearly in the air and I'm enjoying it and breathing a sigh of relief. 

I have resisted to log on for a while.....   I didn't want to whinge or have anyone worried.  The good news is that the growth that was removed from my tongue turned out to be benign.  The not-so-good news is that I was sent away after the procedure without after care instruction so the wound infected badly.  On the upside, I lost 10 kg.  (every cloud has a silver lining, right?)   I don't have sensation/feeling in the tip of my tongue any longer.  But really, worse things have happened to mankind..... On some days, I can hardly walk - my doctor believes it is arthritis in my hip joints.  It wouldn't surprise me, as my Dad has also had two hip replacements around this age.  But enough whinging!   We need to be grateful that we are around - not everyone is given the privilige to grow old. 

Rumer (by way of her parents) and Redfoo are the only stars I knew.  Since I have no clue who the others are, who do we think had the biggest fanbase?  That is a fanbase that will be watching DWTS and can be motivated to vote?.  I've been watching some of the rehearsal live videos you posted.  Keo came across as so quiet, humble last season.  What happened???  Almost looks like he is trying to play certain role he has been given. Badly that is.... Kym's guy looked way to flirtatious for a married man, so I wasn't surprised when the news came that he is divorcing (no idea who he is, other than rich).  Haven't made up my mind on Rumer yet.  Actually, I have been hoping Val would get someone with clear physical limitations (maybe like Artem's or Tony's partners), just for an opportunity to personal growth.  I felt it would be a good idea for him to deal with real limitations, not perceived ones.  Remember when he said to Janel, "Your physique is lacking". It would have put things into perspective for him.  He is lucky to have someone young and in good shape again.  And of course the age is perfect for another 'showmance'.  I know he says otherwise.  But aren't they leaning against eacher at interviews already......  *groan* 

Have a great rest of the weekend - it's a long one for us (Adelaide Cup day).  It tells a lot, when there is a public holiday, statewide and also nationwide at the occasion of a horse race!!!  I take it!!!    *lol*

and as far as this season goes.......lets see......I think Noah is going to have alot of fans that will vote.......he is a war hero here and very likable.....also Red Foo has a big fan base.......I would say the one with the largest and most likely to vote fan base too me would be Nastia Lukin, Derek's partner and Olympic gymnast.......but if Rumer  gets Ashton Kutcher (he was her step-dad and they are still close) to support her that would be the most massive fan base across the widest demographic of people.....and when you combine that with her parents fan bases weeeellllllll.......she could do well

Thank you for your kind words, april.  And also the flowers east, Cassidy and all the other sisters!  Well april, we will be getting a puppy next weekend and it looks a bit like the one on top with the black spot near the rear.   It is for my youngest who has never had his 'own' dog.  Both dogs we had/have were born before he was.  He will turn 10 in May and the dog we still have is turning 14 this month.  It will be very special, as it's also my birthday on 13th - not that I will be thinking of the dog as a present for me, but it will be birthday that I remember.   From then on, it will be just mopping up behind the little thing after all the little accidents.  I hope it will be a clever one so I won't be doing that for months.  But really looking forward for my son for this.   He is planning to call it 'grim locker'.  Wish me luck to convince him otherwise.  The pup is a girl. 

What you write about the fanbases makes sense.  Not that Derek needed another 'bonus' in order to win.  I have to look up when Nastia retired, but she looks in very good shape and surely still has some of her previous flexibility and other skills to bring to the table.  I am not a Derek hater, but do hope a dark horse will emerge from somewhere.  It just wouldn't do the show itself a favour if he wins once more with a star that brings so much to the table in terms of ability/musicality ect.  Hoping for Noah and Sharna to be really special.

and I agree about the Derek thing too......I like him but he has won 5 times.......did he really need the advantage of Nastia??????  I like Noah and Sharna too and think they should do really well.......I think in my opinion Keo and Charlotte may be the first too go again......I'm just not sure either one of them has the fan base to pull them through
