And as with any book where I really like the writing...I often go on to see it that author has written other things.  And Rinker Buck has.  I may read others.

I absolutely love him, and he’s an incredible person. We have this friendship that I have no doubt in my mind is a life-long friendship.  Getting a chance to know him away from training for Dancing With the Stars, I think we've gotten a chance to know each other in a different way, which of course just makes you closer. Thanks for the suggestion, Booky.  I read Anne Morrow Lindbergh's books years ago.  Loved those.

So, according to Tango...there are cheese making kits that you can get on line.    I am going to order this one, it got many good comments, and give it to my husband for Christmas.  He especially loves sharp cheddar (7yrs aged) that we sometimes buy in Wisconsin as we drive through.   Not likely to make that!  

But it looks like fun.

I was just wondering if you have a certain type of camera.  Do you use special lenses, try to get different effects.   I like to take pictures too - just amateur and for our own enjoyment.  We used to have a panoramic camera.  That was fun.  My husband took some beautiful vistas when we were in Hawaii.

Some of these effects are cute.  I've never tried this:

I think these shots are fun...I have done a few and so has my daughter in law (she has a photography business out of her house)

I use a Canon Digital SLR and a point and shoot...I also have a Canon film camera.  Both of the larger body cameras I can change the lenses on them and I have several different ones depending on what I am going to be shooting.  

I love photography it is my escape.  I am hoping to get a new digital sometime in the near future when I can afford it....LOL

Here's one of my favorite crock pot recipes.

1 2-3 lb. shoulder round roast, sliced thinly
2-2 large onions, thinly sliced
4-5 garlic cloves, peeled
several sprigs of fresh thyme
salt & pepper
2 bottles of beer
olive oil
several slices of stale bread

Brown the beef quickly at high heat.   Meanwhile saute the onions until tender.   Layer the beef slices and onions, topping each layer with a couple of cloves of garlic and sprigs of thyme.   Salt & pepper as you go.   Pour beer over the top until it nearly covers the beef.  Top with stale bread and cover.  Cook on high heat, 3-4 hours or low heat over night or all day.

"Carpe fucking diem!"  - Maks said it. 
Sorry, I had to use this.  I haven't laughed so much in a long time.
