Sounds like a great idea!! Occasionally we have a mother-daughter-granddaughter outing to a tea room. Used to be the in the to do. Doesn't seem to be so much anymore!! Like everything else, there's a shelf life, I guess!! HAHA

Well...not enough rain either because rain means snow at higher elevations (I know you are in the swamp where it's wet all the time! LOL)  We only get precipitation in the winter months. We need A LOT of thawing snow in the mountains to make the rivers run and fill up the reservoirs through the rest of the year. It sounds weird and goofy, I know!!!

 Drought is more common than not having one out here!! LOL So far I think we are at about 2" of rain on the season maybe!! HAHA Seriously, our annual average is something like 12.5"; I'm pretty sure we aren't anywhere close to that yet. "Measurable rainfall" is very tricky!! When we get about 6 drops on the sidewalk, people run around proclaiming it's raining!! HAHA It is all relative!! LOL

I saw where last summer they were using the black balls to help prevent evaporation.....was that in your area????
