It looks just like that--a sunken muffin!!--and you put brown gravy on it and have it with prime rib or other beef roast.

I absolutely love him, and he’s an incredible person. We have this friendship that I have no doubt in my mind is a life-long friendship.  Getting a chance to know him away from training for Dancing With the Stars, I think we've gotten a chance to know each other in a different way, which of course just makes you closer. OOOOHHHHHH!!! Iced SWEET TEA!!!! yummmmmmmm   have you ever had sun tea?????

Used to make lots of sun tea, but sweet tea is a complete YUK for me! There is a reason for that. When I was about 12 or 13 we visited my grandfather's widow in MS. It was VERY hot and humid...and I was extremely thirsty. We were from NM so we didn't drink tea....pretty much water or milk! The tea was sooooo sweet it was like syrup--it virtually made me gag. I was afraid of being rude, so I didn't ask for anything else. I have had an aversion to sweetened tea ever since then. I can smell the sugar or the sweetener in it!

Oh yeah it can definitely be over sweetened.....I don't like mine overly sweet and alot of times I drink it unsweetened

If we go out to eat I will either get 1/2 sweet 1/2 unsweet of just unsweetened

Ah, it is. It's the first day of autumn! A time for hot chocolatety mornings, and toasting marshmallow evenings, as best of all, leaping into *leaves*!

Have you ever had honey roasted parsnips?? They are MARVELOUS!!  Our English friend makes them for us on Christmas.  She didn't this time, but has done in the past.

for me it's oysters......yuck.....LOL

Oysters for me too.  The very first time I went to visit my then boyfriend, now husband's, family, they cooked a magnificent meal:  rare steak, raw oysters, incredible slaw, homemade biscuits, sliced fresh tomatoes, cucumbers and raw onion in a a vinegar mixture, baked potatoes and asparagus.  I didn't know what to say or do about the rare steak or the raw oysters.  It was my future father-in-law, who was frequently mistaken for Jackie Gleason, in both looks and personality, who took pity on me as I got quieter and quieter while trying to down the oysters and eat the rare steak.  And while I grew to prefer medium rare steak to medium or well done, I was never able to acquire a taste for oysters.  That night, he put my steak back on the grill.

I can do oysters on occasion.  Not something I order as a meal but if someone fixes them, I'll eat a few.

Cloudy and overcast today....glum....but we did have some rain and snow in the local mountains last week.  I'm sure we are nowhere near "normal" yet, but maybe there will be enough more in the next couple months to make a difference.
