Hi April, I logged on because I saw that you were on. In a few minutes I have to log off and get to a choir rehearsal for our annual MLK celebration on Monday. So glad that you and our niece were having such a wonderful time with family. My heart and prayers continue to be with you and her.
Thanks so much Kos (((hugs))) I was catching up on the board and just saw your post ....are you still here????
I will be looking forward to hearing how your MLK celebration went![]()
I was still here but "in the dark." For some reason my computer shut down which usually means that it logs me off. took me awhile, but I got it back on and find that at 1:25 pm I am still logged on. Sorry to have missed you.
CEK, praying for you and complete healing for your eye. View, have a wonderful time in Arizona. And all other sisters who have not yet logged on today, know that I am grateful for our friendship and think of you ofter.
Around here we have had lots of conversations about the woman who joined a search party only to find out that she was searching for herself. What a metaphor for life. For me the story was "laugh out loud funny" but also poignant and metaphor about looking for and trying to be true to ourselves. "To thine own self be true." Hard to be true to that self if we don't feel we really know who she is.
And if you all have not seen any of the videos, get on you tube and learn about "Bob the Cat" who was saved by a busker and in turn saved the busker. This all happened in London. And have you heard about the man whose wife left him and took everything with her except the dog and what happened when he took lots of pictures of said dog and turned them into artwork. Inspiring and delightful stories.
OH YAY!!!! there you are thought I'd missed you I will have to look up Bob the Cat and the story about the man and the dog...I am not familiar with them....but yes the story of the woman looking for herself is an interesting metaphor for life...hmmmm.....something to think about

Not anything like 2014, at least not so far. For me the worst has been the ice storm that we had a couple of weeks ago. But that may all be on the verge of changing. Some snow, accompanied by frigid temps, is predicted for Jan. 18. Most of the snow from the only winter snow storm, melted when temps hit 40 this past Thurs.

Glad you 2 got a little chat in, KOS and April
I just logged on to say - Isn't this almost too much? Poor woman. My hearts goes out to her and her family.
I was just remembering how POWERFULLY and beautifully she sang at the American Music Awards
