Oh, gosh...look at this.
This is what happened to my parents my daddy passed away April 16, 2005 and my mom passed away April 8 2005...8 days shy of being a year apart. They are together as are Toms parents...
Doug Flutie's parents died an hour apart last year.

Hey guys well we're not going home today....her platelet count was a little low this morning ...not enough to need a transfusion but the doc thinks by tomorrow she will so instead they are going to keep her tonight then recheck her counts in the morning and if they are low transfuse her then probably send her home in the afternoon....or if they are holding steady then let her go home.....they also want to see her appetite be a bit better...but hey what's one more night at this point right....we still haven't gotten the results of the test back to let us know if my son is a match....hoping to hear soon
gonna go catch up on the board

When will her next treatment start? Will she have a break between?she will follow up in the clinic with her doc and then he will schedule the next round.....there will be a break for a few days to let her body recuperate a bit ....the closer we get to transplant the closer together the hospital stays and treatments will be
Do they have to have a donor lined up before the final treatments are done?
yeah they do....that's why it's important to meet with the transplant team early so they can be looking for one

Another PureDWTS Season 22 Exclusive: Doug Flutie Is Going To Give The Dance Floor A Spin
Doug Flutie is gonna be on Dancing With The Stars…which means there are an unprecedented THREE NFL stars on the same season! As many of you might know, Doug was a quarterback for the Buffalo Bills and New England Patriots. Though before that, he played college ball in Boston where he became famous for his “Hail Mary” touchdown pass in a game against Miami on November 23, 1984 one of which was considered among the greatest moments in college football and American sports history. Doug received the Heisman Trophy and the Davey O’Brien National Quarterback Award in 1984. After retiring, Doug served as a college football analyst for ESPN and ABC. He has worked for NBC Sports and NBCSN. To read more on Doug, see Wiki. Doug is paired with Karina Smirnoff. To read more on all of our spoilers, see this post. My husband is going to be in football heaven this season. I just wish my Dad was here to enjoy it too. Though something sparkly tells me, he will be. Go for it, Doug and Karina!! Photo below is of Doug and his daughter dancing at her wedding recently.
Everyone is excited about his.....and he is with Karina and she always does well with the athletes....YAYLOL....I am all excited about him being on there and my daughter is like "who's he"
Yup, mine, too.
LOL....I think he's will be likable...if he has dance-ability

April,
Glad to read that your daughter is handling her treatments well. Keeping fingers and toes crossed that you all will be home soon and that your son is a match.thanks Luv
so far so good.....the harsher chemo's have kind of drained her but not as badly as they thought they would.....and this morning she is much more perky than she's been so really hoping we'll maybe go home tomorrow
Good to hear she has been tolerating it better than expected after you had been troubled with reactions in the past. Are you commuting when she is in for a few days or are they facilities for you to stay on if you want?
thanks Gabriele....I stay with her in her room when she's inpatient and my hubby comes up to see us every day.....he's at home....but comes up after work every day

I hope so at lease he has someone that is his age and now so much OLDER than he is.....and with an overall good attitude and fan base and dance ability....so no excuses this season
Yes, I'm a little surprised (pleasantly...) that he is given another chance. Keo might be one of the tallest male pros and therefore able to dance with taller celebs - guess that goes in his favour. Slightly awkward that it came out that she had asked for Val.
I'm wondering about this season's showmance/romance potential. Artem's perhaps? The other pairings seem a definitive no by the looks of it.
who is Artem's celeb????
