Interesting article. Do you know if the "one in 68 in the United States" holds true around the world, gabriele?

The one in 68 is now more as I've read, i.e. one in under 50. I'm not aware of stats around the (developed) world being a lot better. Comparing country to country, you'd get a lot more variables to do with state of health systems ect. There appear to be next to no cases in your Amish communities though. It would make sense in my mind, as there clearly is an epidemic and we all know from school that there can't be a genetic epidemic within such a short time span. It's only slowly and gradually that there is a paradigm shift towards suspecting environmental influences playing a bigger role than had been thought for a long time. I have seen though that you have the highest infant mortality in the developed world and also the most childhood vaccines on the schedule and the argument is whether this is causal.

Good morning.
Some of these March days have been quite windy where I live. Kite flying weather.
I saw a great video of an older guy doing magical things with 3 kites - set to music. I'll try to post it later.

A quick good morning, everyone.
I used the "recovery" feature of Windows to go back 5 days and restore the computer to that time.
It solved ALL the problems
It coincided with an attempted installation...I kind of think it had to do with Windows 10. They keep trying to "foist" it upon me and I do not want to switch. Not yet anyway.
Anyway, all is well.
Here is a tweet from Kym that made me smile this morning: Let the wedding planning begin!
View, what problems were you having? My computer just automatically upgraded to Windows 10, and every once in a while the screen just goes to blue, with just the cursor visible. I can't get it to respond at all. Then I manually turn off the computer, and it's all set again.

Vmmmom,
I wonder if this is the best way to show you what was happening to my computer. I took a picture of the screen with my camera at a couple of points...thinking I would stop in to visit with the geeks and show them what was going on and maybe get some advice - no cost.
Then I remembered how "recovering" back to a certain date can restore your computer to when it was working fine. The "critical update" of a windows installation is the date I chose to go back to.
But here is one of the screen pictures I snapped. It just wouldn't run in the normal mode - I had to start it in Safe Mode, but there are many things you cannot do in Safe.

We will have a couple of days and nights in Las Vegas, and I always thought that the 1 show I’d really like to see would be Celine Dion’s.
Turns out she has no performances during the months of March April May. Disappointing… but I then checked out a list of the most Popular Shows. And included in the list was Maks’ “Le Reve”. Of course!
But no, they do not perform on the two nights during midweek that we will be there.
Soo. I think we’ll just play it by ear when we get there. I saw a Cirque du Soleil show a few years ago. My husband is open to anything – but with his hearing aids actually would find some of the shows difficult.
I’m happy Le Reve is doing so well and got lots of nice comments in the reviews I read, including one that specifically complimented the choreography.

CEK, hope you get at least some of your 1000000000 things done
I'm down to a mere 1000000 things as I get ready to be away. Taxes finally done, and haven't heard that we owe any additional...fingers crossed.
Flood wise, we intend to have the front yard landscaped and sodded this spring/summer, the garage painted, the house re-painted (it peeled badly...apparently we should have waited longer after its "submersion" than 16 months!) Also, after having only the functional type of window treatment in the living room up to this point (that is, pleated cellular shades, mini blinds) I am hoping to get the lovely semi-sheer floor length curtains on decorative traverse rods that I've been pining for for 4 years.
$$$ though.

HI Sisters,
I am going to try and get this DWTS game started. I liked the idea View had of us all picking 3 names to be the final 3 BEFORE the season even starts and then pick again sometime during the season. Might be fun and we could rack up more points. lol I also decided who I think might go home before even seeing them dance. This will be for the first week only. All other picks can come after they dance on Monday.....so we will have a guess before the show starts and one after we see them dance. Does this make sense? Anyway, place your bets ladies, it is going to be a great season. lol
