Well, we're supposed to be leaving this afternoon to go to the robotics competition, but my daughter is home sick. I'm not sure if we are cancelling the hotel room for tonight or not. We may go up and just crash there if she's feeling better, or we may be able to go tomorrow, but I don't know at this point.

Oh Vmmm I am so sorry she is sick and will be sending some hugs and prayers your way as well that she makes a speedy recovery!!!

Hi guys  getting here late today....so she went to the doc yesterday and got another platelet transfusion but other than that things are looking well.....then they told me that since things are good they will be admitting her friday for a 4 or 5 day stay for her next round of intensive chemo (if her counts are down on fri that might change but they don't think they will)  ......when she comes home from that she will be home for a week then readmitted for an extended stay of chemo.....so I have been trying to get things done before we go back in, including touching base with all her teachers and getting school work ready so it's been busy here.....but  she is doing well   we will just more than likely be spending Easter in the hospital....hmmmm......any good bedside Easter celebrating ideas anyone?????????

ok so I am going to go see what's up in DWTS land

Aww, bummer. Are you going to bring her an Easter basket? Maybe pack some fun things to do in it, like Mad Libs or puzzles? I know people are more into electronics these days, but that could be something different.

Oh Mad Libs are so much fun...April does Niecey like to color???  I love the "Adult" coloring books, they are great to relax with...maybe you should get you one too!!!!

Re: Seasons Come, Seasons Go... So Let's Dance Like We're 22

Who’s Dancing What for Week 2 on Dancing With The Stars Season 22? Below is what we have so far and it’s “Latin” Night. To read our Media and Interviews post after Week 1, see this link.

A whole bunch of Salsas, a Cha Cha…and a Paso Doble?? Are they trying to get rid of Doug early??

ETA1: Source is fairly certain Nyle has rumba, and shared Kim’s song – apparently Kim is a huge Gloria Estefan fan. :-) -Court-

ETA2: Last two dances filled in.  Interesting – two rumbas, two cha-chas, two sambas, a paso doble, an Argentine tango, and 4 salsas. Predictions: the 3 weakest dancers get completely hosed (Geraldo, Mischa, & Doug); Antonio suddenly gets a higher score, while the judges nitpick Nyle a bit more; Ginger & Jodie fare about the same, but Ginger gets a higher score and more lavish praise. I’d be happy to eat crow on any of these, but on paper – that’s what my gut tells me is going to happen. -Court-

ETA3: And almost as soon as I post, Antonio posts a Snapchat of he & Sharna rehearsing to “Adorn” by Miguel…or possibly some other artist covering it.  It was hard to tell from the short clip, but I’m not 100% positive that it was actually Miguel…hence the ?. Fun fact: another Antonio danced to this on the show – it was Antonio Sabato’s rumba with Cheryl back in season 19.

Lost in translation: MMA background hurting Paige VanZant on 'DWTS'

http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/mma-cagewriter/lost-in-translation--mma-background-hurting-paige-vanzant-on--dwts-220856656-mma.html

MMA Junkie via Yahoo talked with Paige VanZant about her Dancing With The Stars debut. Paige also gives a sneak peek into her and Mark’s next dance. Read on and for more, see the link.

“I was really nervous,” VanZant told MMA Junkie. “The foxtrot isn’t a dance I was particularly excited about because you’re not allowed to do lifts, you’re not allowed to do certain [other] things. You have to be traditional and be in the frame, with very specific footwork. So we couldn’t be wild and crazy and have a fun routine.”

Next week will find VanZant challenged with the salsa. “We have the salsa, and it’s just an amazing routine so far,” VanZant said. “I’m excited to show off the super fun side of things. [Mark] definitely knows I have areas I need to improve on. There are still little things that are hard for me to break, being an MMA fighter.”

Although VanZant is taking an extended hiatus from competing in the Octagon, the Team Alpha Male fighter is staying on top of her training regime and squeezes workouts in during her downtime. Although it can be assumed that her MMA training may assist her in this competition, VanZant said that it doesn’t help much, if at all.

“Not a lot translates over very well,” VanZant said while citing that flexibility and cardio are two small things that help her through practice. “There are a lot of techniques that are completely different [from fighting] – keeping your head up, I’m having a hard time not keeping my shoulders forward. It’s hard to break that fighter’s stance. It’s been a little difficult for me to try to break.”
