DWTS Week 2 Doug Flutie And Geraldo Rivera Not Going Out Without A Fight
Geraldo Rivera and Doug Flutie may have been in the bottom half of the leader board on Dancing With The Stars week one, but, neither of them are going out tonight without a fight. Below is more from ABC.

Geraldo Rivera received the lowest score on last week’s premiere. His goal for Monday night is to advance and last longer than another journalist who competed on the show a decade ago.

“I would be extremely disappointed that I didn’t beat Tucker Carlson, who went home in the first week,” Rivera tells ABC Radio. “I’d be extremely disappointed. But, you know, someone’s gotta go. But we’re going to really try.”

Former football star Doug Flutie was also in the bottom half of the leader board last week, but his pro partner, Karina Smirnoff, is maintaining a positive attitude.

“We’re not going to concentrate on the scores, we’re going to concentrate on the fact that we had the whole ballroom screaming ‘Flutie,'” she explained. “We need to come back and hit it out of the ballpark week two.”

5-Minute Powwow: The ‘DWTS’ Costume Duo Tells All

https://now.ruelala.com/dwts-costume-duo-tells-all/
Costume Designers Steven Lee And Daniela Gschwendtner Interviewed About DWTS And MoreRue Now talked with Dancing With The Stars costume designers Steven Lee and Daniela Gschwendtner. Read on for how complex and challenging designing can be. I love what they said about Mark Ballas.
RLL: From the jive to the paso doble, we know the dances are certainly complex. Is there a dance genre that’s more complex when it comes to the costumes?
SL and DG: Each dance has its own complexity. But since we’ve created all the costumes for so long, there’s no difference in difficulty between the dances.RLL: Each week, there’s a time crunch. How long is the concepting phase, and how many people are on your team to get the job done?
SL and DG: Our time frame from concept to completion is from Tuesday to Monday. That gives us less than a week to sketch, shop fabrics, build, fit, and rhinestone the costumes – time is always tight.RLL: We know Mark Ballas tends to choreograph some pretty out-there routines. From a costume perspective, is this something you look forward to?
SL and DG: Mark is always very creative – we really enjoy collaborating with him. He usually wants designs that are unique, and it really challenges us to make them come to life. It often involves unusual fabrics, custom painting, and textural leathers and materials. We can really think outside of the box when designing for Mark and his partners.

Mark Ballas Hurt At Camera Blocking, May Not Be Able To Dance Tonight On DWTS

According to People, Mark Ballas got hurt in camera blocking yesterday and may not be able to dance. Let’s hope he’s going to be ok to dance.
“He injured his back at camera blocking rehearsal on Sunday,” a source tells PEOPLE of the newly engaged pro dancer. “It’s an old injury that he aggravated. It’s up in the air if he’ll be able to perform tonight.”
Ballas’ fate in the competition will be decided by a doctor later today. But until he is cleared by the medical team, Ballas’ partner, UFC fighter Paige VanZant, is rehearsing with Alan Bersten, a former So You Think You Can Dance contestant and current member of the DWTS dance troupe.
This is almost certainly nothing because they do this “but will he be able to perform?” thing every season and it almost always turns out that they’re able, especially when it’s a pro. But I’m posting bc of the mention that Alan has been filling in! I would hate for Mark to be hurt but if Alan had to step in tonight so Mark didn’t injure himself further, I wouldn’t be mad at it.

Ok, after a whirlwind weekend, I guess I have to settle on a guess. I'm going to say Ginger and Val for top of the leaderboard and no dropouts.

I hope everyone had a good Easter. The Easter Bunny managed to make it here, somehow. We went to Mass, and then we went to my parents' house for dinner and an egg hunt.

As for the rest of the weekend, my little munchkin won Best in Grade at the state invention convention!

At robotics, the team performed well, but they had a lot of tough competition. Most of the weekend they were hovering around 18th place out of 40, but after losing their last two matches to tough alliances, they dropped to 26th place and didn't get picked for the elimination rounds. (The top 8 teams get to pick two alliance partners, so a total of 24 teams move on--not necessarily the top 24, but being in the top 24 helps.) My daughter rested at the hotel Friday morning, but she was able to go for the rest of the competition. She's still dragging, though. I'm worried that my middle daughter is catching something. She' in "The Sound of Music" this weekend, so she can't get sick!

Congratulations to your two that were in competitions this weekend, I know you are proud of them both...and then your middle daughter in "The Sound of Music"  What fun...Who is her character???

The robotics competitions sounds fun.  I am glad that your daughter felt well enough in the afternoon to attend.  26th place isn't too bad, I would think that there are lots and lots of robots and competions that you have to go through.  The team should be proud.

What part does your middle daughter play in The Sound of Music?  Hope she stays well and has a great time in the play.

WHOOT, WHOOT!!!!! CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!

LOL at Elmo and Jimmy Fallon.

My daughter is playing Brigitta. She's excited. This is the biggest part she's ever had.
