Yes, CEK...would you please?
Ok...Here goes....
1 I learned to drive on a VW in drivers ed.
2 I use to have an Albino African Claw Frog
3 I was a cheerleader in high school
Literally, a stab in the dark with no particular reasoning behind it: #1 is the lie.

I learned on a manual transmission too. My dad stressed we might need to know some time.
I'm going to say that # 3 is the lie.... # 2 sounds specific enough to be a fact.

O.k. These are all in the past tense, as I believe these folks are all "late" as Precious Ramotswe would say:
I have been kissed by Rory Calhoun!
My best friend is a cousin to Peggy Lee.
The entertainment at my uncle's barn dance wedding reception was a young Lawrence Welk.

I also learned to drive on a stick shift and until the summer of 1989, had never driven a car on automatic transmission. I was terrified in the summer of 1989 which is when my daughter got her license; so she was thrilled to be allowed to drive so much because her mom was so skittish.

#2 is, I think, a lie because it lends itself to being a partial lie.

Oh no, KOS Now I feel bad...should I have said cousin once removed? Peggy Lee was born in Jamestown, ND and her maiden name was Ekstrom...or Ingstrom...or something like that. And my best friend as a little girl was related to her. There was and is quite a strong resemblance too.

A cousin is a cousin, even if he or she is once removed. Don't feel badly. I don't mind being wrong.

Ok, view now I know who (roughly) Rory Calhoun was. But given he married at age 26 when you were a wee thing and remained married until his death, I should suggest, for reasons of propriety, that he did not kiss you, at least not 'properly'. Then again, it is probably a 'view' and you are talking about a peck on the cheek. But I'm sticking with #1 regardless.
