Same, Luv.
I saw it early this morning and was so underwhelmed I didn't even log on.

You can see why - after dancing all summer in the tour - Maks would feel fit and raring to take on another season.  And I can see why DWTS would want him when they're losing Peta.  Unlike some of us, a poll of viewers I saw rates Peta high among the favorites.

So, whatever.  I didn't see Keo listed in that bunch of guys already named.  Or did I miss it.

LOL...those 8th graders!  Someday she and you will look back on these years fondly.   How great it is that your oldest will ride the bus with the little one. Do they have many miles to go?

Wishing them all a great school year!  Character Counts is a program in our schools.  And bullying workshops. We do what we can....some of it works.

I think they go about 6 or7 miles. Everyone was all up in arms when they first combined the busses, but it's working out for me

Re: Seasons Come, Seasons Go... So Let's Dance Like We're 22

Waiting for strawberries and sugar to macerate...freezer jam again today.

That same list of pros by popularity had Karina, Julianne, Derek, and Cheryl ahead of Peta and Maks...and I have heard that none of those will be back this season.

It must be like any other type of "talent as a way of making a living in the entertainment/sports industry" thing...where you have an agent and negotiate, and hope for good income.

That would not be for me.  The stress, the insecurity.  Except at the very top of the game. I would opt for less excitement and more security...once past hmmm, maybe 25 years old.

Ding...timer went off.   Wish I could share some jam with y'all.

Re: Seasons Come, Seasons Go... So Let's Dance Like We're 22

I have a busier than usual afternoon planned.

If I don't get back on today, sisters, just want you to know I am hoping for the very best news for you, CEK, from the doctor.

From what I've read...it could be quite a range of treatments necessary.  From rest and time....to surgery.
Please know we're pulling for you.

It pays quite well, the farther you make it the more money, and especially if you win. Maybe he needs the money. AND, perhaps he needs to prove to Peta that Meryl wasn't all THAT special.

I will weigh in with a couple of possible reasons for Maks' reneging on his vow not to dance again on the show.  They may not be PC, but I think they might be feasible.

1)  I would be curious if he is in effect "buying out" some or all of PJ's remaining contract.  In essence, because she obviously can't work as a dancer this season, maybe he said he'd fill in if they would allow him to basically substitute for her in exchange for nicking one season from her contract.

2)  Maks' aspiring actor status seems not to have quite taken off (or he would be filming rather than dancing) and with Baby Maksito a few months from arrival, there could be major changes to their life (aside from just the baby!).  They have posted a few pics of what seem to be house hunting excursions...and I presume that means qualifying for a mortgage.  So even if theory #1 is only a theory ungrounded in fact, Maks may need a paying gig in the local area in order to show employment status since all the DWM studios are pretty much on the other coast.  If he still owns the house in NJ, that might add to the need for additional income.  We have friends who just purchased a house for their son in Huntington Beach (they now live in VA but their son still lives here).  They have loads of assets and income but the process of mortgage qualification (for THEM--not their son!) was INSANE.

3)  I suppose that Maks may have had such a wonderful time dancing on the tour that he realized how much he missed doing it and felt compelled to return to dwts!!!      However, this I suspect to be the least likely possibility!!  You know what they say--"Money talks, BS walks."  In addition, they seem to be hurting for pros.  Wondering if the show might be getting close to the end of its run.

It will be interesting to see who Maks gets as a partner and whether or not they "click".  I haven't seen Tony's name anywhere so they may also need someone to dance with the "more mature" females!!    At least he will keep it lively and his unpredictability can be very entertaining!

Oh--I just saw that US Women's Soccer has terminated Hope Solo's contract for her comments at the Olympics!!  Actions and rhetoric have consequences...or should have.  I'm sure this was not the first time they were tempted to terminate her.

Of course, it seems that Ryan Lochte may be doing dwts after losing his sponsors!!!  LOL  Go figure...the world is unexplainable!!!

I absolutely love him, and he’s an incredible person. We have this friendship that I have no doubt in my mind is a life-long friendship.  Getting a chance to know him away from training for Dancing With the Stars, I think we've gotten a chance to know each other in a different way, which of course just makes you closer. Hi, Annie....Good points!  I do think that it may not look so hot for neither of them to be working in the LA area if they are looking to buy a house....in the Hollywood Hills, no less?  Not exactly tract homes there!  And the market here is insanely overpriced.  Anyone who buys now is going to be stuck thru the next bust cycle.  So people who can't afford the mortgage now...or might be on the edge....will be doomed whenever the market tanks again....and it will.
