Ah, it is. It's the first day of autumn! A time for hot chocolatety mornings, and toasting marshmallow evenings, as best of all, leaping into *leaves*!

Quick question for you all before I head out....do any of you have or know someone that has one of the Silhouette type cutting machines...I want to get one but not sure how good they are...

Just a thought.

Well I am off for now...will come back later to see what gossip/news is out!!!!

Have a great day everyone.

CEK, are you asking about a machine that cuts paper or fabric or vinyl?  All of the above are available and I think I know at least one person who owns each kind!!!  What do you want to cut?  I would call them stencil cutters....is that what you are calling a silhouette?  Just looking for clarification....  Let me know if we are on the same page and I can give you at least some input.

I absolutely love him, and he’s an incredible person. We have this friendship that I have no doubt in my mind is a life-long friendship.  Getting a chance to know him away from training for Dancing With the Stars, I think we've gotten a chance to know each other in a different way, which of course just makes you closer. Definitely too much information, I know almost none of them (!), and the "clues" are kinda murky!!!  LOL  Guess they are just trying to promote the show.

Here is the one that I am talking about Jet...  http://www.silhouetteamerica.com/

it apparently will cut just about anything...paper, fabric, vinyl...
I have a bunch of ideas to use with my photographs and to make some shirts for the grandchildren...

A long-time friend of ours who makes incredible greeting cards for all occasions (I have saved every one she's sent us!) has used Cricut for years and likes it very well.  They are available at JoAnn's--and I'm sure at other outlets also.  My son's is pretty basic (and a few years old--inherited from his FIL when he no longer had use for it or bought a new one--but works for my son's purposes) and my quilting friends have just bought the Brother version.  I have to say that while I really like Brother sewing machines (do not own one, however)--and they have great graphics and things Brother has incorporated from their paper/printing sector--they have not impressed me as "out of the box" items because among just the 4 of my friends who have recently purchased higher end Brother machines, 3 of them have had problems during the first few weeks to months with their machines!

I did a little research and found the top 10 cutters.  Might be helpful to you.  Interesting that the Cricut is rated very well (ranked #5) at 8.83/10 and is next to the cheapest whereas the Silhouette Cameo is ranked #9 at 6+/10.  Here's the link (hope it works!)

Oh, April, the poor thing. I'm glad they caught it, though, and hopefully she'll get through this quickly. Hugs!!!!!!
