HAHA!!  Maks is going to be Maks so this could be fun!!!  LOL

I absolutely love him, and he’s an incredible person. We have this friendship that I have no doubt in my mind is a life-long friendship.  Getting a chance to know him away from training for Dancing With the Stars, I think we've gotten a chance to know each other in a different way, which of course just makes you closer. Hi Ladies,

First....thank you CEK for all of the run down on the partners for this season's DWTS.  I am at a loss on some of them, but that is not unusual for me. lol

Second...has there been a decision made on how we are going to handle the game this year?

Same as last season with the hope someone will step in if/when needed?
Same as last season with bye weeks?
Same as last season but with added "secret ballots"? (so two games and winners will be chosen..so those missing weeks still have a chance of winning)
Are we going to add the Trifecta to the chart or have that as the secret ballot?
Just going with a secret ballot game?

Have I missed anyone's suggestion?  If so, let me know.

Also, do we have prizes this year?  I know View has the wonderful key chain, but if there are more then one winner this year....what to do?  Also....um.....I think there should be one prize per winner.  That way maybe more people will donate and those prizes "not claimed" can be "rolled over to next season".  The winner(s) can choose between the "prizes", but I think maybe we should consider just one prize per person/winner.  Is this fair?

I just wanted to get this out there before the show starts (when does it start?) LOL  I still have the charts from last year, but it does take time to get everything ready to go. I am kind of busy with RL right now, but I wanted to touch base with everyone to see "what is up" and to get "organized in my mind" so it isn't so rushed by show time. LOL

Luv, I will be happy to donate one or more prizes...with the disclaimer that they will most likely be hand made (so be warned!) and I may not know exactly what they will be until I know who the winners are.  Just know that whoever gets them will LOVE them and won't be disappointed!!!  LOL  LOL

Everyone will want to win the coveted tiny MBT keychain, which should be the grand prize winner's!

On the subject of the game rules, I vote for "same as last season with 2 bye weeks + trifecta".  I think that may make it more all-inclusive for those who may not be able to watch every week or be out of the loop and not be able to submit their dartboard results in time!!!  LOL

That being said, I will be happy to help any way I can....and if my thoughts aren't the consensus, that is fine as well.

Knew I recognized that backdrop even without the Hollywood sign in view as well as the early 1900's railing that keeps you from sliding down a cliff!!  Took the grandkids there a couple years ago...and they loved it.  We need to go back.

Wonder what Maks was doing at the Griffith Park Observatory...it's definitely a destination--not something you stop to see on the side of the road!!!  LOL

James Dean, Rebel Without A Cause Memorial
It's worth the trip, if not for James Dean, for the Griffith Park Observatory and the Greek Theater nearby.

James Dean bust. James Dean, Rebel Without A Cause Memorial
The most famous film ever shot at Griffith Observatory and the one that put it on the map was, Rebel Without A Cause, starring James Dean. The 1955 film became an international success and forever inspired fans to visit the observatory location. Artist Kenneth Kendall was commissioned by Dean in 1955 to create his portrait and oddly enough Kendall began work on the commission the night Dean was killed. In commemoration of both the film and Dean, the observatory has placed a recently restored copy of the bust on a pedestal with the famous Hollywood sign as a backdrop. This is a most fitting bronze memorial to the actor and the film's location.

Another copy of the bust is located at James Dean Memorial Park in Fairmount, Indiana.

Re: Seasons Come, Seasons Go... So Let's Dance Like We're 22

Well, It is raining here so my outside projects are taking a break so I have a bit of time to check in on the board.

Okay, so we are doing the weekly chart with bye weeks (unless a volunteer steps up...hehe) AND a secret ballot?  The secret ballot will be the Trifecta?  Whoa, not sure if anyone will win that game after watching just the first show. lol

Looking at the chart from last time, I see some things we can take out.  Is there anything you sisters would like to keep in?   All suggestions in trying to make the game fun are welcomed. hehe

Hope everyone is having a great day.

Friendship is a priceless gift that can't be bought or sold, its value is far greater than a mountain made of gold.
May this FriendSHIP always have wind in its sails and a sunrise on the horizon.

Jet, I am sure that the sisters would love a homemade "prize" from you.   Thank you for volunteering something.

Actually, Luv, we could do a Trifecta before we even see them at the premiere for a real stab in the dark.  What do you think?
Thanks for the prize offer, Jet.  I've run out of 'things' for now.

Luv...I am not sure what everyone has suggested, but if you are willing to do the "game" why don't we just leave it like last year and on the couple weeks you are not able to be the "score keeper" and no one else will do it we can just have a "buy" week or maybe vote a week in advance...I don't think it will be to hard to continue the game just like it is...

LOL. I'm kind of glad he's doing it, but I think he will be like a fish out of water. (Many swimmers I know have no coordination outside of the pool.) I think it will be good for him, though, especially if he can keep his cool and have fun.

I agree with you Vmmm!
