Okay, in regard to the game.

Do we still want to make the trifecta "secret" ?  Gabriele mentioned making the guesses before the show airs.  Do want to do that or see the first ep. and then decide?  Sisters, please give your input.  Also, in trying to get this straight. lol  For those sisters unable to make guesses for any certain week(s), they get a bye week, meaning that they would receive the maximum number of points that week would have?  Is this correct?  That being said, I think they should PM me, View or any volunteer that may be keeping track of the points this year and let them know before hand as sometimes keeping the scores/track of things can get a little confusing. LOL  (Maybe, we should have a couple of people "keeping track......even on paper......to make sure everything is "correct"?)

I guess we will just see how this thing flows this year.  Hopefully, it will not be a big deal and that everyone feels like they have a good chance of winning. lol

Still time left.........any other input or ideas?

Got to go......RL calling.

I'm ok with the trifecta either before or after the 1st episode. If most everyone is able to watch the first episode, then maybe do it then? I assume they would be secret ballot? If so, do we create a new screen name for that only and send pms to it?!

It would be helpful to know in advance if someone is taking a bye week, but if they submit no guesses, they would automatically get a bye, right? After 2 bye weeks of getting max points, one would get zero if she took another one.

I think winning is a great goal, but playing is the best thing about it!!

Well, first let's decide if we guess before the 1st episode or after we see them dance once; we haven't decided that yet, have we?  I vote for seeing them dance the first week.

Annie,  I think it has been decided that the secret ballot (trifecta) will come after we see the first show.  To win, you have to have the Winner/Runner Up/Third place all in the correct order as they finish in the show.  What hasn't been decided is the chart.  Last year, I had a similar choice, but it was made before the first showed aired and you didn't need them in the correct order, just somewhere in your picks. It was worth 2 pts for each correct answer.  I am not sure if the sisters want to do that this year again or not. Input would be welcome.  Anyway, for the Trifecta, we watch the show and PM me (in the subject line put "Trifecta") with your answers sometime before wk 2 airs. Those picks will remain "sealed" until the last show airs.  At that time, we will see who wins (if any person does....lol) and they will get the Tiny Mirror Ball Keychain that View has.

Is this correct sisters?  I know that "rules" are still being worked out.

However, like most said...it is really playing the game that matters, not how it is played. hehe

Special ET Feature On DWTS Mark Ballas And His New Adventure

Entertainment Tonight reports on Mark Ballas’ new chapter in his life. Stay tuned. This won’t be the last we see of him. Keep us posted, Mark!http://bcove.me/2fqwjh4m

Mark Ballas confirms DWTS departure

Mark finally breaks his silence on his S23 absence in a open letter. He doesn’t go to any detail or provide much insight as to why, whose decision or how long he’ll be away. The letter sounds like it’s a more long-term departure (but as we know with DWTS the door is never truly closed..ie.. Cheryl, Maks, Derek etc..) He does hint at a new chapter & opportunities & of course thanks everyone for their support.

Update: Right after I posted this, I checked IG & saw Derek comment on Mark’s post, “Can’t wait for people to know where you’re going brother” & fire emoji’s, which leads me to think it was his decision & maybe it’s a network jump or something big with his music or acting. Or maybe DWTS dropped him & he got picked up somewhere else. So we’ll see, sounds like good things for him.

I’ve made it no secret that Mark is my favorite pro dancer. He’s the reason I started watching every season religiously since S14 (him & Katherine Jenkins were the first couple I really followed all 10 weeks & voted for). Whether for one season or longer, his absence will be felt & I will personally miss him. It’s crazy how you watch this show every season, the pros start to resonate with you more than the celebs. Mark’s positivity, creativity, & commitment to his partner & art will always stay with me.

Here are Mark’s latest cryptic posts..

Mark and Katherine Jenkins should have won that season!
