Re: Seasons Come, Seasons Go... So Let's Dance Like We're 22

Have to run after a couple of grand kids - school will be out by the time I stop at the grocery store first.

Say, have we missed saying Happy Birthday to one of vmmmom's 3 girls?

Re: Seasons Come, Seasons Go... So Let's Dance Like We're 22

Hi everyone.  Just wanted to stop by for a second...it is raining now off and on and we have been busy getting things out up out of the yard in case the wind starts to blow strong.

Had to run to the grocery store and then Kaleb and his sisters wanted Grammy to bring them some ice cream to I got them little Frosty's from Wendy.

So with that I am off to bed... Hope you had a good day and I will be back in the morning to post som news...

Till tomorrow...HUGS

annie....was it you?  Are you enjoying the book, Me, Before You?

I read it about a year ago.

Not sure  about ....."was it you?"  I enjoyed Me Before You and have not seen the film but several clips from it from IMDB.  I also read After You; it took me a while to get into that one, but enjoyed it too.  The thing that bothered me about it is that no one ever asked for a DNA test from Lily. JoJo is thinking of writing a third book.

Yes, annie...I was wondering if, a few weeks ago when we acknowledged National Book Day (or whatever it was...I see National Read a Book Day is September 6th)

if you were the one who mentioned Me Before You.  I have read it too, and because I loved it so much also read After You - which really did not compare imo.

But I am piping up about it now because I had said I didn't want to see the movie for fear it would fall short as they so often do when you have loved the book.  But it just became available on On Demand and I watched it over 2 evenings.  I thought it was GREAT.  The author also wrote the screenplay!  which I think is unusual, but I think that's one reason I liked it.  They had to leave out many of the little side stories etc which were not necessary to the plot anyway.

It was a full 1 hour and 50 minutes...nice, because it let the story play out more realistically.

So, I hope you will agree if you watch it.   The choice of actress, actor, (her dad I recognized from Downton Abbey) - it all just worked.

For me.

I agree that After You wasn't nearly as good. Yes, I really liked Brendan Coyle (Mr. Bates on Downton Abbey). I want to watch the film soon.

Re: Seasons Come, Seasons Go... So Let's Dance Like We're 22

Hi guys.....happy Saturday morning  and WE'RE OUT OF ICU!!!!!!!!!!  they moved her back to the bone marrow unit .....and her old room  she is doing really well....they still are not 100% sure what caused her breathing problems but when they did the bronc-oscopy she tested negative for pneumonia and they saw no major problems....the general thought is she had built up so much fluids, her kidneys were having trouble keeping up and the extra fluid caused the breathing problem.....after they did a couple days of dialysis to take out the extra fluid  she got better quickly and they are now done with dialysis too

I can't wait for the new season......Niecey thinks Maks and Amber will be interesting to watch (me too) ....LOL....but she is most interested in Jake and Jenna ......I am excited that Val got Laurie and am so excited to see Jenna as a pro

Annie and Bookie ....I see your Governor is dancing this season....what do you guys think....how do you think he will do....and will he have a good fan base????

Ok well I need to run.....talk to you all soon (((((group hugs)))))

I read that this up coming season is the last one for Pretty Little Liars...  It made me think of our little sister, Carriebradshaw.

I wonder - if she lurks - if she might want to watch Season 23 with us since Maks is back!  #MaksandAmb

Oh, goodness, I wouldn't expect you all to be able to keep track of that. But, my middle daughter and I share a birthday, and my baby's birthday is next week. To add to the confusion, all three girls had their friend birthday parties in August so they could have the party on the water.
