More Of Dancing With the Stars Allison Holker’s Home With Hubby tWitch And Kids
Have any of you picked up the new issue of People Magazine? As you might know from a previous report, Dancing With the Stars Allison Holker’s home with hubby tWitch and their kids are featured inside. People Online now has a sweet article on her son’s baby nursery. It’s sweet. You can see it here as well as some thoughts from Allison some of which you can read below.
“We have a rocking-chair elephant that is just adorable,” Holker says of her favorite piece in the nursery. “Being able to sit with my little boy every night before he goes to bed and read him his story is the best time of the day for me. It’s something we do every night together, and it’s just our special time.”
“I really hope that when he gets a little bit bigger that he’ll actually sit on the rocking chair and actually enjoy it as much as I do. It’s so cute and it adds a really lovely childlike nature to the room,” adds the mom of two.
There’s no doubt little Maddox is covered, but what about Holker’s 8½-year-old daughter Weslie?
“My daughter’s favorite space in the house is definitely our dining room,” she says. “My daughter absolutely gets really excited for our family dinner and she always cooks with us.”
Continues the fit mama, “When we sit down, she’s always excited to ask the first question at the dinner table of, ‘How was everyone’s day?’ She’s always the one to start off the conversation, which we love so much.”
Though Holker and Boss, 34 — The Ellen DeGeneres Show‘s resident DJ — have been living in their first home together for a bit, they have taken their time in making it their own. But their patience and hard work have been worth it
“We’ve been living in our home for a year now, so we’ve been working on designing it, trying to figure out what to do with [it]. We’re excited to have it finally done and we absolutely love it now,” Holker says.

Davis and White - Thank you!
On February 22, 2017 Meryl Davis and Charlie White finally put rumors to bed about returning to competition. They were interviewed on the Today show and said that they decided not to compete in the 2018 Olympics.
As I stated in previous posts, that has been my gut feeling for quite some time and I am thrilled that they made a wise decision.
In the last few weeks some fans were pushing for a comeback. I am not sure what the motivation was that drove this frantic push (Virtue/Moir success is my theory) but now all this speculation can be put to rest.
I have always held Davis and White in high regard and would have been disappointed if they had decided to return at such a late date.
They are concentrating on other aspects of their lives and have moved on from competitive skating. If they had decided to comeback, it would have been an uphill battle that I sincerely doubt they could have overcome. They made a wise choice….not that they were seriously considering a comeback anyway. I think all the hoopla was in the mind of overzealous fans.
Now figure skating fans can concentrate on the teams that are competing and putting it out on the line. These teams deserve respect and everyone’s full attention. Looking forward to the fans comparisons of competing teams instead of a deluge of “what ifs.”

My dear mother had 3 or 4 verses of scripture that she especially loved. And this among them was her favorite.
Later, when I go to sleep I will think on these things.
Also, I great favorite of my mom's who frequently quoted it during difficult times. During the spring of my junior year in college, my husband to be asked that we memorize two books of the Bible. I chose the book of Philippians and he chose the book of James. And we actually did memorize both books.

The following picture was posted by View on Sunday. Thank you. It brought back lots of memories for me. In the home in which I grew up, we had daily devotions. It didn't matter where we were. And this included Communist China under which we lived for three years. We were already in China before Mao made his march from the north as many professionals fled from China including Chiang Kai Shek and other politicians. My dad prayed this every day with his family and with all the Chinese who worked on the farm. And when the local government decided to take over the farm and use it for military training and decided to assign military personnel to "watch" my dad and my mom, even during family devotions, my dad still prayed this prayer.
