Sincere sympathy to your older son, gabriele, on the loss of his grandmother.

Crazy Horse is the perfect segue to the poems of Tecumseh. He was a leader of the Shawnee Indian tribe, lived in the late 1700's in the area now known as Ohio,  and died in 1813.

The reason I bring it up is that I was recently reading about him.  And I love this (below) that has to do with death.

Live your life that the fear of death
can never enter your heart.

Trouble no one about his religion.
Respect others in their views
and demand that they respect yours.

Love your life, perfect your life,
beautify all things in your life.

Seek to make your life long and of service to your people.

Prepare a noble death song for the day
when you go over the great divide.

Always give a word or sign of salute when meeting
or passing a friend, or even a stranger, if in a lonely place.
Show respect to all people, but grovel to none.

When you rise in the morning, give thanks for the light,
for your life, for your strength.
Give thanks for your food and for the joy of living.
If you see no reason to give thanks,
the fault lies in yourself.

Touch not the poisonous firewater that makes wise ones turn to fools
and robs the spirit of its vision.

When your time comes to die, be not like those
whose hearts are filled with fear of death,
so that when their time comes they weep and pray
for a little more time to live their lives over again
in a different way.

Sing your death song, and die like a hero going home.

The Teaching of Tecumseh

Thankyou, view.  They are wise words.   We feel free to make an occasional exception for Denim Vodka.  What happened to that btw?  It's gone quiet; Maks said it was 'his' vodka....??

Hi guys   thank you all so much for all the love and support....it has been a few days and we are doing better.....saying goodbye is hard but we know she's in a better place and in no more pain....Niecey is doing better....she is making the dvd to be played and given away at the funeral and that seems to be good for her....her doc has spoken with the hospital in Jacksonville and has worked it out where we will be able to go up on Sunday do the funeral on Monday and come back on Tuesday.....so the next several days are going to be very busy and emotional for us, but we will still be looking forward to the season and enjoying it with you guys (as she would have wanted us too)

gonna go catch up a bit (((hugs)))

Glad your doctor found a way for you and Niecey to go to the funeral.  Yesterday, my eldest was pallbearer at his Grandmother's funeral.  He doesn't remember ever having been to a funeral (they were overseas and/or he was too young to remember).  Good to hear that Niecey has found her own way of working through grief.  My eldest had his closest friend staying over the night before.  He only returned from overseas on Monday and will move to the other end of the continent tomorrow, to live for the next three years He is grateful that the funeral was this week, as he wouldn't have been able to say goodbye otherwise.  He was glad to see relatives he hadn't seen for years before leaving tomorrow.

Wishing you and Niecey strength to get through the next few days.   xox

Gabriele...I am sorry for your sons loss and I am glad that he had the chance to say his goodbyes.  I am sure he was glad to see those family members that he hasn't seen for sometime.  I hope his new adventure will be fulfilling for him...will he be doing something special while there for the next three years???  Is he going to school there???

Hope your little guy is doing well too..HUGS

He has a scholarship to do research for a PhD , CEK.  I think he will be fine living that far away for the first time.  He has accommodation at his Uni.  Not sure how my little guy will take it.  It's the first time that my eldest will out of reach for us for an extended period of time.  So far, it seems the airline tickets are very expensive as it is regional Australia, no direct flights to come home. He will be almost 900 miles away.

Looks like the favorite Team name for Sharna and Bonner is Team RedBull.  But I don't think it's official yet.

EXCLUSIVE: Kym Johnson Returning for ‘DWTS’ Season 24, Celebrity Pairings Revealed
“When they told me [my partner] was Mr. T, I was like,'You know what? How can I resist that?’” the 40-year-old dancer explained. “I’m coming back, and I’m so glad I’m here.”
Johnson and Mr. T (who was on hand for the interview as well) also joked about being respectful to each other on the show, lest her husband, Shark Tank star Robert Herjavec, had to get involved.

“Robert’s like, 'Oh, you’ve got Mr. T. I hope I don’t have to come and kick his a**,’” she said.
“He had me shakin’, yes!” Mr. T exclaimed. 'Cause I thought he was gonna get the other guys from Shark Tank on me. You know, yeah, oh boy!
“He’s so excited,” Johnson clarified. “He’s gonna be our No. 1 fan.”

“I told her, when I met her, I found out she was married, 'Now, you tell your husband, I won’t hold you in a certain way. I’m gonna be respectful,’” Mr. T shared. “I’m an old-fashioned momma’s boy. I am. Can’t be vulgar. Very respectable … I’m a tough guy, but I’m a gentle guy.”
