Wow...what do you think of Val's chances with this one?
Very impressive! I've read in a skating forum where they discussed Nancy Kerrigan that Maks' partner is a professional dancer. No ifs and buts.... Perhaps Peta will come last in the ChFam contest.

Glad your doctor found a way for you and Niecey to go to the funeral. Yesterday, my eldest was pallbearer at his Grandmother's funeral. He doesn't remember ever having been to a funeral (they were overseas and/or he was too young to remember). Good to hear that Niecey has found her own way of working through grief. My eldest had his closest friend staying over the night before. He only returned from overseas on Monday and will move to the other end of the continent tomorrow, to live for the next three years He is grateful that the funeral was this week, as he wouldn't have been able to say goodbye otherwise. He was glad to see relatives he hadn't seen for years before leaving tomorrow.
Wishing you and Niecey strength to get through the next few days. xox
Gabriele...I am sorry for your sons loss and I am glad that he had the chance to say his goodbyes. I am sure he was glad to see those family members that he hasn't seen for sometime. I hope his new adventure will be fulfilling for him...will he be doing something special while there for the next three years??? Is he going to school there???
Hope your little guy is doing well too..HUGSHe has a scholarship to do research for a PhD , CEK. I think he will be fine living that far away for the first time. He has accommodation at his Uni. Not sure how my little guy will take it. It's the first time that my eldest will out of reach for us for an extended period of time. So far, it seems the airline tickets are very expensive as it is regional Australia, no direct flights to come home. He will be almost 900 miles away.
Congratulations Gabriele on your son's pursuit for his PhD...I am sorry that he will be away from home so far away and I hope that your little guy will adapt to it well...Good luck to your son on his future endeavors and I am sure that he will adapt to his new life away from home...I hope you will do well with his being so far away too...HUGS

Another book I'd like to recommend. I have been altering some clothes the last few days. Another quiet activity that is more enjoyable listening to a good book.
As you know, I've been in to memoirs lately....love a well-written book by or about someone who has led an interesting life.
This one is Candice Bergen's called A Fine Romance...read by her. Many years ago I read Knock Wood by her. But this takes up her life in the mid 30's until now. She is approx. my age, so many of the references and all the people are known to me.
All these books (Martin Short, Linda Thompson, Candice) certainly have reminded me that no matter who it is, what they may have accomplished, how happy and charmed their lives may seem to the public...life is sometimes cruel, challenging, unpredictable.
They all sound interesting View...I always like Candice...She is 10 years older than I am....I may have to start reading some of these memoirs myself...

Are we going to take a stab in the dark before even seeing how everyone moves. Luv? I think that could be fun. After the first night it's obvious who has two left feet and who doesn't.
I am game for what ever the Sisters want to do!!!

Back from dinner out...Ruby Tuesday.
This is pretty darn cute! Daddy Maks "dancing" with son.
He is so funny with that little one...I think he has mellowed out since becoming a daddy...I still find it a bit odd that both he and Peta are returning to the dance floor soon after birth...I may understand Peta's wanting to get back into shape but Maks is going so far off from what he said before Shai's birth...Well we will see how things go soon enough...LOL

Good morning CEK, View, Luv, Annie, Gabriele and Jet! (I hope I didn't miss anybody!) Thank you all for your kind words. Missed all of you! Hope everybody has a fun/relaxing weekend planned. Our oldest (age 14) is touring the high school today! Yikes! Not sure how my baby grew so fast! 😳 Like I mentioned, we are moving, but he still wanted to tour the local school with his current classmates. Loved the photo of Shai with Grandpa. Maks and Peta are going to be amazed at how quickly those first few months pass. I'm sure Baby Shai will be on set a lot and will be in good care, but it still surprises me how quickly they BOTH hopped back to work. I guess I thought at least one of them would stay close to his side at least for the first six months or so. Especially because they were so over-the-top private when he was born. Weird. Must be contract issues .. or else they finally realized how much babies actually cost. Gotta have that diaper money! 😜 I remember having two in diapers at once ... and then two more. It felt like an instant pay raise when I finally stopped buying Pampers and Pull-ups! 😉 Ahhh ... time flies! Hope everyone has a great day! 😊
Morning Tennessee...it is good to see you this morning/afternoon...
I am late today for the news...my daughter took me to breakfast this morning at a Bagel shop we like...they have some really good bagels and flavored cream cheeses...and pastry too...it is hard trying to figure out where and how fast our children grow...my baby will be 28 this May...
Well again it is good to see you and I hope your day is a good one too!!!
Hello CEK! I hope your breakfast was yummy. My kids go nuts for bagels - especially chocolate chip with strawberry cream cheese. You say your baby is nearly 28 ... is there ever a time when we stop thinking of them as our "babies"? I wonder ...
Hey Tennessee...So happy you are back with us at the "sisterhood" and posting...
We are a bagel loving family...I have actually made them but it is a process to get them right. We do buy them in the bread isle but they are nothing compared to a "bagel shop" the texture is no way the same nor the taste...and the cream cheeses they have are just amazing...
No I don't think I will ever stop thinking of them as my "babies" I think it is a mama thing! LOL

Hmmm that is interesting Gabriele...I have never heard of her before she being announced as his partner...
