Hope to check back later.I did some much needed and put off sewing repairs yesterday Jet...hemming and mending seams and such...My little manual Bernina was humming yesterday afternoon....LOL
Sounds like too much fun, CEK!! . Mending is a nuisance!! LOL. But sometimes it has to be done. Glad your Bernina works well and you were able to cross that off your list of things to do.

Well it is the evening of the end of the weekend. Hope you all had a good one and were able to enjoy what ever you may have done...
It was quite cold here over the weekend and the wind was a bit strong so that made it feel even colder. However we should start to warm up to the 60 and 70 this week again...I hope so cause I don't do well in the cold like I use to...Hubby and I actually wanted to move to Vermont after the children grew up and left home...well no anymore...however Vermont was when we last visited it a lovely state.
Let me peek at the news before the finale of Victoria comes on tonight...I hate this is the last show I actually enjoyed it...View are you still watching...
Then the new season of Once Upon A Time starts tonight too...I sure am, CEK...and I'm sorry to see it come to an end too. Season 1 - of many to come, I hope. I was kicking myself last week - - "Did I miss the last episode?!!!" Then I found out they took a week off, and tonight's the final.
Snuggle in. I am making homemade chocolate pudding (pie filling).
p.s. we are having concerns and issues with remaining poodle![]()
I am taking her to the vet in the morning. She suddenly today has no strength in her hindquarters...weak and shakey. Tries, but almost tips over. She is 14 years old today!
I made chocolate chip cookies tonite using my granddaughter's science fair experiment ingredients! She substituted avocado for 1/2 of the shortening....whcih was the winner (by far) of her taste tests (the other types were "as per recipe on the chocolate chip bag (1 c butter)" and 1/2 applesauce/1/2 butter. Taste tests found the original recipe with the 1c butter was least popular!
So sorry to hear about your poodle. Fourteen is a long life for a standard. Both of ours were 14+ when they had to be put down. I feel for you, View.....it is very difficult. (((HUGS))) to you and your pooch.

Not out here....too much fencing repair work for very large areas. Most range is barbed wire for that reason....with cattle guards on the access road entrances.I think you are right about that Jet...I do remember seeing barbed wire used still....
Barbed wire is not recommended for horses. If the options in view's pics are too expensive, straight wire is cheaper with the top wire visible, i.e. white coating or highly visible hot tape.
I'm sure that is best, but in open range grazing pastures they don't use either of those types out here....at least I've not seen them. I've seen them in areas where they raise thoroughbreds....strictly horse ranches, Most farmers and ranchers use what is available and affordable. Out here most horses are used for herding cattle and doing ranch work. Wood fencing is used for smaller enclosures such as corrals where animals are more likely to come in contact with it.

View I hope there are more seasons to come as well...
Chocolate pudding sounds yummy!!!
View I will be thinking of you and your furbaby today...I pray that all is well with her and it will be something simple...We had to take our furbaby last week to have a lump biopsied but it was just a fatty tumor...he has them all over and he is only 8. They removed 4 a couple years ago but the vet said to just watch them and keep track of them...he is just one of those dogs that is prone to them...we were worried because it is almost a year since our Bella the Rottie was diagnosed with "C"....
Hugs and prays are coming your and your furbabies way today...
Oh ...
to your Furbaby!!!

You are right about it being a nuisance, and it has to be done...my pile was growing daily it seemed...
I have had that machine for years and years Jet. It is all I need for the amount of sewing I do anymore...I had a serger back when the children were little and I made all their clothes but I sold it after they got older.
