petamurgatroyd=15px❤Mornings are my favorite ❤ #thatsmirkthough @maksimcI think these are the best pictures that I have seen of the little guy.
I agree with you on that. He is cute.
He's very cute and has his dad's big hands. Too bad they took him to LA when Sasha and Larisa are in NY, especially during this time of changes every week. Thank goodness for at least smart phones and Face Time.

petamurgatroyd=15px❤Mornings are my favorite ❤ #thatsmirkthough @maksimcIs he a ginger? With blue eyes that are HUGE... I can't see it precisely on my screen. I know we didn't get his birthday, but did one of us guess his hair colour and eye colour correctly? Those big eyes are striking and quite unusual or is my baby memory a bit clouded?
He does look like a ginger, Gabriele....at least for now. I think View or Luv may have guessed he would have lighter hair early. It's difficult to tell what color the eyes are, tho....may be due to reflection in the photo because it looks like his right one could be brown but the left one could e blue. Not impossible, but highly unlikely. Our youngest granddaughter has huge eyes like that with heavy eyelashes....and they are definitely gray; they are not blue, brown, or hazel. It is quite interesting.
My son started out with blue eyes and they still are; his son started out with sky blue eyes but about a year or so later they turned light green like his mother's (and the exact color of Peta's!) I noticed Shai's reddish blond hair too.

Happy International Women's day,sisters!
Our previous school asked all students to come in purple on the day. It's almost impossible around here to get a plain purple t-shirt for a boy, so I downloaded an International-Women's-Day image, printed it on an iron-on transfer and ironed it onto a black shirt. A lot of fuss..... Feeling relieved that our current school doesn't get into it.

So this was a comment yesterday in the golden skate forum on Nancy Kerrigan's thread (a public forum). I found that interesting, without knowing SYTYCD:-
"Heather Morris is a trained dancer. It's even unfair she's allowed to participate given her background. To give some context, she almost made Top 20 in So You Think You Can Dance. Pros/Troupe dancers Lindsay Arnold, Witney Carson, Jenna Johnson, Brittany Cherry, Hailey Erbert, Alison Holker, Chelsie Hightower, Lacey Schwimmmer are all SYTYCD alumni. Brittany was eliminated first from the Top 20. If Heather was able to make it through to the final decision, then she's practically good enough to be a pro dancer. Going through Vegas week meant she had shown sufficiency in all styles to be considered. A new troupe member this season, Brandon Armstrong, did not make the Top 20 for SYTYCD and was cut right before the shows as well. You don't need a competitive background either to be a pro; just look at Alison and Hailey."
source here, comment 43:I had no idea who she was or is...interesting that she has that much dance experience...
It's a certain advantage but really doesn't mean that much. It was okay when Derek got Nicole Scherzinger or Jennifer Gray. It was okay when Alison got Ryker. Doing well on the show is so much more than dance ability. M&N didn't win solely because of her skills. In fact, she had some flaws in her dancing that were due to years of skating (ie. not pointed feet), but Maks was able to camouflage some of it, and her elegance and their chemistry was so off the charts, people didn't notice. Look at the people with little ability who got far because they had winning personalities or great rapport with their partners. Football players often go further than their ability would suggest. I know from personal experience that Maks is a tough task master, and he will push her to do her best. Since she is talented, that will be perhaps a harder push than for someone with less experience. And some people don't take kindly to being pushed. That's why the athletes usually do well being coached. They don't have as much problem being told what to do by someone than a singer, for example. The show is essentially a popularity contest, not a dance contest. The celebs have to dance well enough, have to be engaging, have chemistry with his/her partner, and/or have a large fan base. I think it really takes 2 out of 3. Gilles Marini was a fantastic (albeit previously untrained) dancer, had a very engaging personality (humility), and had a great rapport with Cheryl. He certainly didn't have the fan base. Emmet Smith had an engaging personality, great rapport with Cheryl, a huge fan base, and that compensated for any shortcomings in his dancing. Even contestants with serious physical limitations (Noah, Terra, Nyle) were able to make up for it with engaging personalities, great partnerships, and their inspiring stories helped build the fan base.
I see already that they're making Nancy out to be the bad guy already. I somehow doubt that this is true. She has always been portrayed as less warm and fuzzy, less smiley than Kristi or Michelle or some of the other skaters. We'll see how she comes across with Artem.
