Well, not really, that's just wishful thinking!  But I think they have agreed between themselves that they are dating, and the rings are a symbol of that. Gee, back when I was dating boys, the big thing was for them to let you wear their letter sweater or jacket. Or their ID bracelet. This was in H.S. In college, it was different. You wore their fraternity lavalier ("drop") on a chain around your neck and after that their fraternity pin.
 
So, Annie. Are you saying you really think they are now engaged???

Wow!  Nearly 60 pages to catch up!  I am glad you all have to sleep sometimes or you would leave me behind for sure at the rate you are going.   

Loved so much of what I read today.  Last thing I saw at the abc board last night was Val's categoric 'no' to the relationshp question.  So glad you found the video and it comes across so differently.

Since Sochi, and before I arrived at the abc dwts thread, I had been through the  goldenskate thread.  There was a strong sentiment that Maks isn't good enough for Meryl.  She should find a doctor or similar as Maks has too much 'mileage' (not my words) and Meryl can and should do 'better'.  That's what I read between the lines of most of the new posters on abc now.  They have cultivated the princess myth for so long and can't reconcile with the new Meryl image. 

I saw the beginning of a certain person posting back then too .....  stood out as so pompous and self-absorbed that I remember the Id.  I am not sure I recognise anyone atm as a clone though.  Then again, I wouldn't recognise any subtleties in people's language which distinguish them from others as its not my first language.

Thanks so much for having me here - certainly not a nice thought to be stuck over at the abc thread atm. Truly valiant effort by view to hold out there.
