Hi, everyone. I'm going to make one last attempt to see the video of Maks saying that Val could not dance with Meryl if she ever did all-stars. It always crashes my computer. So, if it does it again, the tech guys at Staples will soon see me coming through the door. I've been over there so much they know me!
Hope you all have a great morning!
hope you get to see it Annie...it's great he is so animated talking about her

Good Evening everyone!!! Looks like lots of ice buckets going around!....my take on why Maks and Sharna aren't at interviews: Sharna wants to avoid any DWTS questions and Maks wants to avoid Meryl questions......I thought I did see somewhere where he did an interview....let me check.

Thanks, Cassidy, KOS, and tango for your comments. All thought provoking and pertinent. So much similarity in our sisterhood perspectives!
I completely agree that Meryl's parents are supportive of her in all ways. While it must have seemed very strange to watch their daughter evolve into a demonstrative young woman as the world watched (I never thot Mom looked all that comfortable when they showed her on camera!!), I'm sure they had spent some time with Maks before the show started when he and Sharna were in MI--and also as the season went on. They must exhibit all the wonderful attributes Meryl does because you only get what you teach and model to your children. I also thought it was incredibly telling and very classy that they and Meryl's friends all went to SWAY when she was out of the country. Yes, Maks is an old soul in a young body in many ways. He knows how to treat people and show respect--something not often exhibited these days in younger people. It takes a sense of maturity, values, and worldly perspective to learn that.
Thinking about tango's comment on college being a time to explore one's sense of self made me think that in a certain way, that is what DWTS offered Meryl. She just didn't know it at the time! Three months vs. 4 years--but it was intensive and had so many aspects!!!
I know there is our fairy tale ending to this story; it is only a matter of time! Thanks for letting me share.....
