Louis Van Amstel Weighs In On Nancy Kerrigan, DWTS Season 24 Week 7, Other Pros, And More

Tumblr:
Louis Van Amstel had a facebook chat today. I thought long and hard whether to post this or not for all the negativity he said on Nancy Kerrigan. *so disappointing* And please NO to Louis being a “Guest Judge”.

Was this just to Derek or do people think there’s more?Tumblr:

I know Louis is not that popular, though, I do always appreciate that he has no filter. Whether you agree/believe with what he says is another story, but, no bullshit/run-of-the-mill answer from him.

So Louis would have been on the show if it had not been for a prior commitment.

Louis does not beat around the bush when he is asked a question...that is one thing I do like when someone is interviewed...just answer or say "it isn't any of your business"...LOL

Does anyone have the "cliff notes" on this?  I would like to know what he said, but I really don't want to listen to the video. LOL  It is terrible that some people feel the need to diss or say negative things about others.

I watched/listened to  the entire video as I was getting ready for the day.  Contrary to what I expected, it is a good video.  He likes Nancy Kerrigan but he makes a distinction between her kind of complaining when she has so much talent, is a good dancer and not in pain and Bonner's situation.  And he believes that people quit voting for her because of this.  He believes the public makes a distinction between someone like Bonner who has zero dance experience, is in constant pain and someone like Nancy.  He may or may not be right about his assessment, but I did not hear him throw shade at Nancy. With maybe one exception, Nancy's dances have not garnered a lot of views on You Tube.  He spent no more than 2 or 3 minutes talking about Nancy.   Over the course of an hour he talks about a lot of things based on comments or question being sent to him.  He does note something I had read a year ago:  he is the one who got Derek and Julianne involved in DWTS.  People ask him direct questions, he answers directly.  He ia a fan of Cheryl, Karina and Val, in particular.

THANKS SO MUCH KOS.  It sounds a lot better then I had envisioned. LOL  I liked Nancy, but have to agree with his comments.  I do think that is one reason why she didn't have as many "fans" as some others. I did cut her a little slack, because she seems to really have a self concept issue (maybe having to be perfect all of the time in skating), but can see his point of view on how others may have perceived her. His point of view, wasn't "bad" or throwing shade on her, just how he saw it without "hate" mixed in the comments. (SO HAPPY ABOUT THAT)   I do wonder about the other pros....I kind of agree with him there too. LOL  Fame, can be a dangerous thing, from many point of views.  THANKS AGAIN for the "cliff notes". LOL

I listened to the whole chat too and I agree with KOS it is good and not at all what the "tumblr" chatter is all about or at least to me...

PureDWTS Season 24, Week 8 – Rashad & Emma On Access Hollywood, Talk Rashad’s Dad, Plans for the Future, & the Race to the Mirrorball

Shad & Emma did Access Hollywood today, and chatted about everything from Rashad’s future plans (he seems confident that he’ll get picked up by another team soon, but would “respectfully love to try acting” after his NFL career is over), to Rashad’s note-taking habits (Emma says he’s “a perfectionist”), their “Most Memorable Year” dance for Shad’s dad, and their chances of winning the MBT (interesting to note that he’s been Liz Hernandez’s pick to win since week one 😉 ). They also played a fun round of dance trivia, and Emma filled them in on her wedding planning progress…check it out below:

Thanks for summarising it for us, KOS.  I would agree that she lost votes by the way she appeared to be affected by the challenges of the show.

Re: SEASON 24 is knocking at our door...

Good evening, everyone!

It's been a busy couple of days, but I must report that today we "officially" finished the bathroom work when we nailed up the oak frame aroud the lights in the ceiling...so the rest of. the work had been done for a couple days.  Hubby was just dragging his feet on the final item, which he put a clear stain on after cleaning off the....LOL....my previous "paint work"!!!  LOL  He did a really nice job, which included putting new hinges on the doors, new striker plates on the jambs, etc....and I think we may have enough paint to do the upstairs bathroom as well!!  LOL 👍🏻😜. He didn't say he wouldn't!!!  LOL

We have the tile ordered for the garage project so that will be our next job once we receive it.  Can't wait for that one....to get down on all 4's and crawl around out there!!!  LOL

I absolutely love him, and he’s an incredible person. We have this friendship that I have no doubt in my mind is a life-long friendship.  Getting a chance to know him away from training for Dancing With the Stars, I think we've gotten a chance to know each other in a different way, which of course just makes you closer. Meryl
We fell in love, but our way. Maks

Is he wearing one of Maks' dozen of bracelets?   Let's hope he won't manage to eat that. You see a lot of babies with amber necklaces now.  I wouldn't do an elasticised bracelet though.
