Happy Saturday to everyone!
Hubby and I were at the Planes of Fame Air Show at Chino Airport (about 40 miles east of where we live) all day. It was a bit chilly (about 64 degrees with a substantial wind (flags straight out) that added to the "chill". Cloudy all day with only an occasional patch of blue sky poking thru....lots of dark clouds to the east near the end of the show. It is always a friendly event--all the hangars are opened, many of the "hangar rats" BBQ, everyone hosts and invites their neighbors and friends to come by and join them for a bite to eat. It was also a great show! Planes of Fame Museum is world renowned for its collection of restored, historically significant (mainly WWII and Korean era) airplanes; it does great work in maintaining and promoting aviation history......no matter the weather!!!
Last year an F-22 did a fabulous demo at the end of the show; this year they had 2 F-35 AF jets from, I think Luke AFB, in AZ. One flew at the end of the show in the "heritage flight" with 2 P-51 Mustangs, which looked TINY in comparison. The AF pilot was only allowed to pretty much do fly-bys, but he did do a couple a high speed low passes with a hi-G pull up and turn around, which were very impressive.....after a full throttle takeoff that got him off in an incredibly short runway distance. Awwww.....as they say, JET NOISE....THE SOUND OF FREEDOM!! Love it!

That is very interesting, April. Thanks for posting. Now I'm feeling a touch uneasy as to what history lesson, delivered bluntly, I've exposed you to. *lol*
Without my sisters, I wouldn't know that the previous day, 5/4 (or 4/5 for us) was National Prayer Day. Also, that our OT's surname translates to 'Five'.
Hey, April....glad you beat me to posting something about Cinco de Mayo!!! It is more popular here in the US than It is in Mexico!!! LOL Good excuse to eat Mexican food.....if that were necessary!!! LOL

There are a lot of pictures of the Race to Erase MS event that a lot of DWTS folks attended. I find it so hard to use tinypics these days. But I'm sure CEK will be able to bring a few over.
Not too fond of Sharna's yellow dress with the black accents. The contrast just seems awfully stark to me....and the little bows at the waist maybe a bit too young for her? Just my opinion.

Just to add a comment on Nancy Kerrigan....She has posted a few pictures on Instagram and twitter that to me emphasize how happy she is to be back with her family. It's all well and good to "go outside your comfort zone" but I bet it feels great to get back in to that place too.
Nancy does look happy to be home iwth her family.

Changing my avatar. Everyday when I log in it will remind me that I want to get back to my art... painting, sculpting...instead of practical outlet for creativity, that is cooking, baking, home decor, and other things of that nature.
Most likely this will take place in Arizona during the winter getaways. There are some wonderful classes available by very accomplished artists and teachers.
My former "new beginnings" avatar had to do with being pet-less. And embracing that new, free-er of responsibility status. LOL THAT DID NOT LAST LONG did it. I found it kind of boring.
Good luck with your renewed ambition, View....hope you will enjoy doing the things you love!
