Re: Summer, the Season between the Seasons

Ah, it is. It's the first day of autumn! A time for hot chocolatety mornings, and toasting marshmallow evenings, as best of all, leaping into *leaves*!

Re: Summer, the Season between the Seasons

Didn't mean to keep the other sisters in the dark!!
What Jet made for us 3 winners is the perfect offering from someone who quilts, as she does.

It's an insulated, bowl-shaped "microwave bowl cozy".  You set a bowl - a medium sized serving bowl or smaller -  in the cozy and then go ahead and microwave the contents (I guess I'd cover it with a paper plate if it might splatter) and then you can easily remove the hot contents with the cozy serving as a pot holder.  And as with a teapot cozy...maybe it would help the contents stay warm longer.

And get this:   !!   Jet sent a bowl of the proper size along with it.

Postage alone....

Let kindness attend every gift and good deed, and love warm every Christmas greeting.

Afternoon Sisters...I think I told you all about the Robin that built the nest on top of our deck fan...well today at 13 days old our little robin fledgling left the nest...We now have to keep the dog out of the big part of the yard to keep the little thing safe till it can fly away...It was fun to see it hatch and grow...We have now found out we have another bird nest in the garage with 2 babies in it...I think it is a sparrow but not 100% sure...

Cek, we are twins again. LOL  I noticed a little bird made a nest in one of my hanging flower plants.  (Must be a young mother as this is not such a good place to nest. LOL)  Anyway, she has 3 blue eggs.  I am not a bird "watcher" and have no idea what kind of bird she is.  I hope that they hatch, but I am not sure they will.  Every time I go out my gate, I pass it and she flys off, not to mention I watered the plant before noticing the eggs.  Not sure, but I did find an abandon nest right next to my front door (in a hanging basket).  Probably, the same little bird made it.  I put a "fake" bird in that one. LOL
