Hi guys......well....they have just decided they need to put a chest tube in......they really don't want to have to take her into surgery but the fluid has grown and they feel like the benefits out weigh the risks.....PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE PRAY FOR HER AND THE DOCTORS.....surgery will be sometime late this afternoon or early evening.....I will let you all know as soon as she is safely out of surgery......squeezing so tightly to all of your hands (((hugs)))
Such a meaningful description, picture and quote.

SHE'S OUT OF SURGERY!!!! and it went well....they got the chest tube in and also they had decided that she needs dialysis too so put the cath in for that while they were in there....she is on a vent because they were worried about the surgery irritating her lungs further but that should hopefully only be for a day or two....but PRAISE GOD she handled the surgery better than expected
.....she still has a long road to go to beat this pneumonia but this surgery was a big hurdle overcome ....gotta run .....will update again soon ((((hugs)))))
Feeling such a sense of relief. Our girl is such a fighter. This aunty's pride is beyond words. I pulled over at Woolies to 'freeload' on their Wifi in the parking lot just to check on you and was it worth it!!!!!

Hear, hear, Gabriele.....isn't it wonderful you were able to freeload off Woolies...and find out the news 3/4 of a world away?!!😊😊
Yes, Niecey is a valiant fighter. One day at a time.....this was huge. May tomorrow show improvement....no matter how small.

Had a long day at the VA for the monthly "meds consultation". Hubby is on track now with everything, feeling good, and appears to be "side effect free!!" At the end of the consultation he mentioned to the (3) drug ladies that last week he had flashing in his left eye and then tons of floaters. So they sent him up to optometry to have it checked out. Appears to be pretty normal thinning of the vitriolic fluid (happened in the other eye some years ago). It was a loooong wait as he had no appointment, but they took him and we don't have to worry about something serious on our trip (hopefully!).
So that was one very exciting (HA!!) day!

Evening Sisters. It was a long day here with to much going and coming....then I had a doctors appointment for a recheck after the bronchitis and my stress test that I had. Well everything seems to be ok with the results of the stress test thank goodness. He things I may have a bit of asthma brought on by activity that could be a result of the pneumonia and bronchitis that I have had over the past several years. So I came home ate supper and fell asleep in the recliner...Isn't that a surprise.
These things so small compared to what April and Niecey are going through.
I hope you all are doing well and things are going good for you and yours.
I am going to catch up and then post some news...Hopefully in the next day or so I will get back on my normal schedule and be posting the morning news...I hope you all don't think I am falling down on my job...LOL

April, I so glad to read the good news after your first post this morning. I am praying that things will continue to improve each minute of the day, no matter how small.
Love and hugs and prayers to you and Niecey...what a remarkable young woman she is and how lucky to have a remarkable mother by her side...and how lucky we are to have you as our "sister" ....
