Good morning, ladies...
We took Rio and granddaughter's new pup, Ryker, to a not too well known prairie lake south of our town about 35 minute drive. On a Monday there were only about 5 other people there sunning themselves and floating around on inflatables etc.
We stuck to the other end of the beautiful sandy beach and let the dogs out to run w/ gdaughter - didn't know if Rio had been exposed to water in that way. Most poodles do love the water, but not all. And little Ryker at 13 1/2 weeks...
But they had a blast chasing after their girl, and each other. It was sooo fun to see. Perfect day, 75 degrees, very little wind. (the prairie's nemesis). We'll definitely go again. Hubby took some pictures with his phone, I'll see if I can post them sometime.
I hope that little jewel of a lake remains somewhat unknown.

Little known fact:
That lake is named after my great uncle, who, with his business partner owned the land at one time...and they would drive cattle (you know...with horses, no fences back then) from this area out to Montana around 1900.
