Good Morning Sisters...
Wanted to pop in to say hi. Hubby just got home from his sisters in NC. My MIL is doing pretty good so far and at least she is out of the hospital. Now she has to get stronger and the doctor wants her to move around more to keep further blood clots from forming. Thanks for all the prayers and I am sure she will need more in the days to come.
I am going to chat with hubby for a bit and I will see you all later this afternoon.

Bon soir from France, Sisters!
Well, WE MADE IT to our destination in the middle of fRance this afternoon via rail. Spent the night in Paris after the 11 hour flight from LAX Friday nite aboard an Air France A-380 SUPER jumbo airplane! We were in Lower Slobovia, as my mother would say (!), but the flight was good, the airplane HUMONGOUS, but very quiet (we happened to be seated forward of the engines).
We arrived in Paris about 11AM yesterday, spent about 2 hours navigating the MAZE at Charles DeGalle Airport just to get to baggage claim (after immigration and all that stuff). I swear, it took about 30 mi utes just to get the 800 or s passengers off the aircraft!! However, the in-flight service was friendly and efficient, the meals weren't bad, and....well.....I think I slept for about 1 hour total!!! LOL. We had a lovely seat mate, however, from a town near ours who was on a business trip. So wehad a great conversation with her that really made the trip lovely.
The rest of the afternoon was consumed with figuring out how to get from the airport via Metro to our hotel location in the Chinese section of the city!!! LOL. That hotel was suggested by the travel agent because it was close to the train station we needed today. Jet lag started to cath up with me about 5 PM when I was REALLY hungry--and we were sitting in a pub waiting for 7PM so the restaurant would open for dinner!!! The only other options nearby seemed to be KFC, McDonald's, and Subway! The local restaurants weren't that appealing....no sit down places. The irony of this experience was that we didn't see more than half a dozen Chinese people in the Chinese district!!!!
I hope all of you are well and looking forward to the premiere tomorrow night. If I am awake at 2AM tomorrow nite/Tues. a.m., I'll try to check in on the board. Chances are probably quite slim, but don't count me out just yet!!

Thank you for the BEAUTIFUL CHART, Luv, in honor of Niecey....and so happy to see the names on it of sisters who haven't played recently. I hope everyone will try to play---even if only when they can think about it.
I submitted my trifecta last week before we left. I'm sure none of them are even close!!! LOL

Oh, Jet! I could have suggested a hotel. It's really funny that your travel agent talked about the "Chinese district." I know Paris well, and have been going there for 30+ years on an almost annual basis, and I have never heard of a "Chinese district." Nothing like Chinatown in NYC. There is an Asian district which is immediately recognizable, but there are comparatively few Chinese.
I assume you needed the Gare Montparnasse for your train.
Hope you have a great time!

I will put in my 2 cents worth this time, since I'll be going to a show. Highest score on Monday, Val & Victoria. Peta out first, Maks 2nd, and I think Val will win it all.
