Re: Don't worry, be happy!

I wonder what happened that Maks isn't judge?  Did he not get asked?  Did they chose Julianne over him?  Was it his filming schedule?  Are they starting with Julianne and then if Len leaves next season they'll have Maks take his place?  I don't want to lose Bruno though.....if Len leaves Bruno must stay!

O.K. then. She is my kind of gal!

She has rated Meryl and Maks as one of the four great dance partnerships of all time.  The other three are Margot Fonteyn and Rudolf Nureyev in ballet; Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers; Jane Torvall and Christopher Dean in ice dancing. The article is on her blog.  I will look for the link.

Wow!! What a compliment. I remember when Torvall and Dean won the gold medal -- loved them!

So do I.  No one will match them.

I absolutely love him, and he’s an incredible person. We have this friendship that I have no doubt in my mind is a life-long friendship.  Getting a chance to know him away from training for Dancing With the Stars, I think we've gotten a chance to know each other in a different way, which of course just makes you closer. We fell in love, but our way. Maks

I'm laughing so hard I can't actually type it, but what comes to mind is his exclamation on the Superstars show.   ROFLMFAO

O.K. I need you to explain that so I can laugh too!

This is Torvill and Dean on Dancing on Ice this year....remember this is actually 20 years after they one Gold...

Until recently, I followed figure skating.  But with the exception of Torvill and Dean, I never followed ice dancing.  And I only followed them because of their remarkable artistry.  Before I myself read Sheri Leblancs musing on great dance partnerships, I had read somewhere that one of the things she identifies is that we associate the music with the partnership, and I immediatly thought of Torvill and Dean and the fact that whenever I hear "Bolero", no matter where I am, I think of their partnership.
