I have a friend who's daughter named her son Ronan. Wow, how "connected" we "sisters" are. LOLI'm hearing it more now. When my son was born, nearly 26 years ago, it was very unusual. Does it feature in some novel, TV series ect or maybe there is a celebrity that made it more popular? I'm not up to date, as usual. *lol*
it has become more common but I don't know any real stars or anything with it
His given name is 'Sean'. I didn't have much idea of English/Australian culture at the time. We lived in Germany. But everyone knows James Bond, Sean Connery, right? *lol* There haven't been guys with the name when he went through school, but it's also picking up now, apparently. More so in the 'Shaun' spelling.

What sport is he a mascot of?
It's Aussie rules football, where you can tackle your opponent. It's fairly rough and injury prone.
Humm.....is that sort of like American football or Rugby?
It's not quite like Rugby. We have Rugby as well. I'll see if I can find a short clip on youtube.
