kangaroo meat is in every supermarket and butcher shop.  It was quite unusual when I came here 25 years ago, but now it's right between the chicken and beef, in steaks, mince, kebab, ready-prepared roasts.  Any which way the other meats are offered.  We love it!!!  It is very lean and has a slight 'gamey' tast, also very dark red.  It isn't farmed, just shot in the wild, which means you don't get all the nasties that farmed meat can contain, like growth hormones, antibiotics ect.

I have heard of rootbeer.  Not seen it in the usual supermarkets and hasn't touched my lips ever.  I guess, it's probably in some specality shops/delicatessen.  
 

Ok so this is one of the All-American desserts.....LOL....vanilla ice cream with A&W root beer poured over it....sometimes other toppings like nuts or cherries are added too....LOL....and now I want to go shopping...LOL
