I suspect Meryl met them at LAX this morning. That is what LAX looks like before or after dark. The red eyes from Hawaii start arriving about 5 a.m.

look to the right side of the pic low in th bottom corner...there is a hand on the back of meryl's hip...tumblr is debateing whether or not it's Meryl's because of the angle...some think it's her own hand on her hip other's think it's someone else's....hmmmmm

 
THat couldn't be Meryl's hand.  That would be too hard to do!

do you mean about spending three months together then seeing how not competetive they are when it's down to just the two of them???.....i think he was refering to her and charlie and them not being competetive with each other...and all four of them hanging out being non competitive but that when it came down to the four of them in the bottom two the would see how non competitive meryl and charlie were with each other then

Annie is coming out with a new list of classes so I'm saving myself for some of them!! LOL

Here's a sweet story: An elderly gentlemen who had stopped by his doctor's office for some routine blood tests, seemed agitated. The nurse asked if he was frustrated by having to wait, and he replied that he needed to be at the nursing home where his wife (who had Alzheimer's) lived so that they could have breakfast together as usual. The nurse asked if his wife remembered him and said that she might not even notice if he weren't there. The old man said, "No, she doesn't remember me but I remember her." 
 

 
How true that one it! We had a customer for several years who brought his wife around when he came into our shop a couple times a week. She always followed him and just smiled. I never heard her speak except for one day she said, "Hi." I never knew she had AD until she stopped coming with him. When he came alone I asked him where his wife was and he told me she had AD and he had had to put her in a home. But he went to the home to be with her twice a day, every day, fed her, read to her, and stayed there for a while each time-- until she died--and during that time he still came around to visit with us but not as often. I was so taken with the pure devotional love and so impressed by that dedication and example.

About a year after she died we got a hand written letter from someone in, I think, Oregon. It was from their daughter telling us her father had died a few months before and we were in his address book so she wanted us to know that he had enjoyed the relationship and that we had been important to him. Shocking because we weren't personal friends--just someone we met along the way. It was very touching.

Oh, how sweet. Such truth in that saying Meryl posted: Be Kind because everyone you meet is carrying a burden (or something like that). I've also read it as " Be kinder than is necessary because everyone you meet is carrying some sort of burden."
