Just dropping by for a quick check of the news and to see how everyone is doing.
It has been a dreary wet day here in my neck of the woods, but luckily it has been a soft rain so that is good for the gardens or flowers.

Does anyone know about roses? You are supposed to prune them in February, but I didn't. Then we had torrential rains and they are blooming like crazy. Do I wait till they stop and then prune them?

Hi, Annie.....I'm no rose expert, but do have one George Burns rose bush that has withstood, neglected, the test of time in my back yard! A few days ago I cut it back for the first time in about a year....and I occasionally cut the new growth off the bottom as necessary----or when it's no longer blooming or just becomes unruly, I'll whack it back whenever. Your climate is very similar (more humid and rainy) to ours out here on the west coast, so I'm guessing it will be pretty difficult to kill your rose bushes if you prune them a little later than recommended. (Just don't blame me if I'm wrong!
)
Good luck with that, Annie....!

Morning Sisters.
Just wanted to pop in for a quick minute. We had company come yesterday my daughters best friend from high school (she is like a daughter to me) and she will be heading home this evening to Charleston SC.
We had lunch with another of my daughters friends from college, they were room mates for 2 years (she is like another daughter to me too) they were all here to run a race on Saturday. She left yesterday after lunch headed back to DC.
My daughter and her best friend will be going out for the day and then I will pop back on to post some news.
Have a great morning.
HUGS

Thanks, CEK. Mine have been neglected for 5 years; my husband planted them and took care of them before that.
