Hi, Luv. Anyone know if this is the last SOI show for a while? This one was quite disconnected from the tour they did during dwts. Maybe because it appears there is a pretty big skating community in SV and probably not much entertainment coming around resort areas in the summer!! Probably to help promote skating activities there come winter? Just wondering if Meryl will have a break from skating coming up.

Hi Jet.  I am not sure if they have anything planned for the end of Aug to the beg. of Oct.  However, I do know that they start up shows again on Oct 19, those are the ones that will be taped and later put on TV.  I guess that would only give them a few weeks break if that.  I am sure they will have to practice for those and maybe change their routines???  They are sure busy.  I have no idea how she is going to keep up with school work and such.  I know she prides herself on her grades so I doubt she will have any free time for a social life with that and her skating schedule.  It is a good thing that Maks is going to be part of a show with her or she would never see him.  When does Maks start filming his movie?  I think from now on, things might be pretty "dry" in the MnM '"crumb" department.

That is pretty funny, actually!!!  His expression is priceless!!  Funny that apparently he had no talent as a kid so why would he want to have another go at it now??!!  To try to get away from what his parents threw him into--or because he doesn't have other options?  Personally I think his best gig is being an entrepreneur.  He seems to do that pretty well.  I just don't see the attraction of acting.....it is fraught with little fortune and less fame (except for the truly talented and lucky), can be a real heart wrenching experience for the personal life, and if you don't have talent to start with.....well, what the heck?!!!  Stick with what you do and do well.....it will be much more likely to lead to success!!

Jet, you are right on the money!  When I went to my cousin's daughter's figure skating competion a few weeks ago (first time I have been to a skating comp), I was shocked by how quiet it was in the rink.  You could have heard a pin drop!  I am used to dance competitions where the audience cheers on the dancers.  It seemed a little stuffy to me!!  I think this is why Meryl was thrilled to be able to let loose with Maks!!  xoxoxoxo[/quote888]
