Good morning to all! Wanted to check in before heading off to church. Gabriele: Glad you were here overnite keeping watch over our ship while we slept! Hope you enjoyed some fun reading during your stay.
Took a look at the two video links on this page. Have seen Maks on Meryl series a couple times. First time for this part of the Meryl on Maks one, tho. I have to say it is apparent Meryl put soooooo much less out there for public consumption than Maks; not only are the videos shorter but in Part 4 there is about 5 min. of 5 or 6 different interviews with M & C where she throws the Maks question to him and the answer is the same!!! Obviously worked out in advance so Meryl could "weasel out"! haha Yet she blushes and giggles so you know there is a lot she either is not willing or able to express on camera without losing her composure. It is cute but 2 things are evident: she does not deny a relationship and never says they are "just friends". Couple that with Maks' comments about talking every day she was in HI and staying "very close", etc. and we are left with the obvious assumptions.....for which we are all happy!!!
Have a great day, everyone. And to Carrie, enjoy your last day of freedom!! Daughter and son-in-law trying to do the same today as well as they start back to school tomorrow also. Summer seemed to really FLY by this year.

I absolutely love him, and he’s an incredible person. We have this friendship that I have no doubt in my mind is a life-long friendship. Getting a chance to know him away from training for Dancing With the Stars, I think we've gotten a chance to know each other in a different way, which of course just makes you closer. Meryl

Good Sunday morning, everyone! I see all has been quiet since the Jenna/Meryl pic.
In that picture last night with Serge, he either does not look happy or looks really unhappy about being interrupted.
I had a long day yesterday. The dance workshop was good: 4 one-hour classes on swing, Latin (cha cha & rumba), foxtrot & waltz, and bolero. Then there was a break, too far for us to go home and too long for just dinner. By the time we went back for another 1/2 hour swing class and then a dance party, we were starting to fade fast. Then my teacher comes up and asks me to dance. The music could have been cha cha or swing. He proceeds to ask me if I know the swing sequence they taught us in the class. I said, yes, but not up to speed! Me and my big mouth! He leads me through it twice, and not without error, but pretty good. I missed a couple of steps, but kept going. Of course, I didn't feel so bad when I later saw him dancing it with his wife, and she messed up, too!
Parts of it reminded me of that pic we had of Val teaching a class. There was a room jammed full of women, and not one of them was in the same position he was!
Glad to be back on the ship for a few days. It always seems that when I'm out of contact for a few days, something momentous happens.
Way to go, tango!! Good for you!! I miss taking dance classes, maybe this will be the year I start up again!! Never did ballroom, just ballet, jazz and tap lol!! xoxoxo

Annie, I think I was the one who said something like that--I just wondered why Maks would have dated Erin after I watched their tango package and her attitude was so annoying and immature. Absolutely zero grit! If he had had to put up with that for 12 weeks, he would have been sick of it, I should think. I have the impression Maks did date her (have seen it several places) after the show---but only briefly. Interesting that it might have been a sympathetic move, tho. Probably why it lasted a very short time. He lived with Karina and Peta--and we know what happened with those two! Perhaps they chased him, as some have speculated--whereas with Meryl he was obviously taken with her from the git-go--and pretty much made no bones about it. I wonder if he and Meryl will defer living together until they get married. Gossip rags will get hold of info like that at some point, I would think--unless they keep saying JLo has moved in with him!! Oh--maybe that is why that keeps popping up?! haha Because he and Meryl aren't even in the same city most of the time!!!!
Glad you got a laugh from my earlier post. I was/am just soooooooooo happy today!!!!! Wonder why!!! LOL Couldn't contain myself!! Laughter is good for the soul too......I guess they will live together when they are in the same city! haha You know, stay at each other's apartment or house instead of one of them going to a hotel.
I read a direct quote from Maks at the beginning of Season 18 where he said that he is shyer than people think and is not always out chasing girls. Peta approached him and probably Karina too. Someone introduced him to Kate Upton, and they began to have trouble even the first month. They "dated" for about six months. I wonder why he said he was dating all these women but won't come out with it with Meryl.

I can only contribute here from what I read in the figure skating forums since Sochi. It's assumed that Meryl had a three year on-off relationship with F (lets just leave it at that letter...). But even fans who followed her closely for years say there is no real proof and definitely no admission by Meryl that this assumption is true. Maks on the other hand shouted his engagement with Karina from the rooftops only to see it fail. So now, he admires Ryan Gosling and the secrecy surrounding them. If you look at the determination these two are capable of, I think we will be here enjoying many cartons of Denim and Luv's cakes together, which is a pleasant thought too. Personally, I think as the last three of Maks' relationships haven't made the one-year-mark, I think from one year onwards we might see something. Hopefully, I am too pessimistic here. There is always hope!!!
