Hey, April and Luv......Sorry I missed chatting tonite!  (hugs). We had a good day....now that we know how everything works  ....but turnaround was 11 hours!!!!!!  LOL

Tuesday is my Brazilian embroidery class, so my SIL picked me up there (same place we go for quilt class on Wed. nites) at 9:30.  We got to the Dolby Theater about 10:30 and got in line.  We were the 12th and 13th people in line for tickets.  We got to the table after about a 45 min. wait for them to start dispensing the tix and the first person at the table would have just given us 4 tickets in the nosebleed (I’m sure) had my SIL not said “Voices of Hope”....at which time the worker pointed ot the guy next to her who had 2 stacks of tickets.  He went to the 2nd stack, dug down a bit in the “deck” and pulled out 4 tickets on the Parterra level (never heard that word before!!)....which was on the ground floor in what I’d call the upper orchestra.  Definitely better seats than we had 2 weeks ago!!!  I will look at the show recording in the morning to see if I can find us or anyone else we know!!  Li’l niece was directly behind the 2nd soloist on the left so she got a bit of face time.  The older one was the 3rd from the left in the “green” row!!  Did not see either of them in the childhood videos.

By now it was 11:30 and we were hungry.  Hard Rock Cafe is just downstairs from the theater entrance, so we went there to have lunch.  Several groups/families my SIL and niece knew who came to the show ran into us in the restaurant and elsewhere as we were roaming around afterwards!!    SIL’s older daughter came with one of the other families about 1PM and she needed to eat, so we wound up back in the Hard Rock for a 2nd round!!!  LOL. SIL and I split an apple cobbler which was not bad!  Then it was time to think about going into the theater.  We don’t bother to get in the long lines....we just find a place to kinda sneak in where there’s a gap!!!  . Such a waste of time to stand in the line like sheep since we all have assigned seats!!!  LOL

Again we had to be in the theater by 3PM so they could videotape Voices of Hope and Front Pictures (the space guy).  I knew that Front Pictures had been eliminated so was surprised they were on the docket....but they explained why (I didn’t think they were that great....although the idea and the execution were quite amazing....seemed less like talent and more like technology)..  The kids were to be taped first so they came out, got up on the risers, in the same jail suits they had worn last time, and not any real upgrades in the production values, we thought.  Simon was NOT anywhere to be found, and when the crew had gotten it all together, they did the “live” taping without any warm-up performance as they had done 2 weeks ago!!  Of course, there also were no comments from the judges since Simon was MIA!!!   They actually did the judges comments on VOH live after they ran the video.   As a consequence of the noise primarily, the start of the performance was a little off...probably because they couldn’t hear themselves or each other very well.  It seemed again there were some technical issues with them.  First, the theater was soooooo loud with cheering and clapping for them (which was GREAT!) that it was very difficult to hear the music because of the noise and the cheering!!  The opening soloist was a little off beat and a little out of tune but they did a pretty good job of catching up with each other as they continued.  We listened to the YouTube video of their performance in the car on the way home and it seemed that maybe they cleared up most of the audience noise so you could actually hear the song and the singing.  I don’t think it was their best performance, but I also thought they were sort’ve given a cheap shot without a pre-tape runthrough (whcih the Front Pictures guys were given after the kids, who had stood on the risers for several minutes prior to performing.).  It will be what it will be!  I voted 30 times tonite, which is all I can do!!!  LOL

I hope enough people vote for Voices of Hope to get them into the finals, but they were up against some VERY TOUGH performances!!   I believe the following will go on:

The trapeze couple who are awesome and unusual
Zucharo (or whatever!) act which was FABULOUS!
Magician
Possibly comedian
Possibly the nurse/singer, Michael
AND I HOPE THAT VOICES OF HOPE will make it in place of one of the aforementioned!!

SIL is planning to pick me up at 9;30 tomorrw.....at least we will get home an hour earlier!!!  LOL. Told hubby I was doing this once because I can....and will likely never have the opportunity to know anyone else to go see!!!

I’ll watch the video in the morning and see if there are any shots of us in the audience.  I’m thinking we were too high up, but maybe my “JET” shirt will show up!!!!  LOL. LOL. Just kidding....they like you to wear solid colors and clothes without any writing on them, so I was wearing a white top!!!  LOL

Well, again it is getting late, and I’ll be up at 6 a.m., rarin’ to go!!!  LOL

Been doing a little digging on the internet today.  Visited a few forms about the show.  Most said that they couldn't hear the VOH and a lot of good comments about the comic.  I also found this.....April.....you might be interested as you really like her.


DukulaGreat that front pictures got the wildcard. Was expecting Mochi or S. Riana as they are way better.But I confirm that the sacred riana was invited to take part in america's got talent. I contacted the managers of the sacred riana and they said the tricks Riana showcased were requested by AGT to enhance their ratings. After quarter finals, they eliminated her since they got the ratings from international viewers. Further, The Sacred Riana is invited for a movie. A movie director will be starting the production of a movie based on the sacred Riana, called 'THE SACRED RIANA'.
