Thank you all for your birthday greetings! I read them even if I was not logged in to respond.
I was in NYC for my birthday. Danced at Soho and Midtown the 2 days before. 4 hours at Soho. And they talked me into 6 hours at Midtown. Met a couple of new teachers but didn't really care for either of them. One started telling me that I was doing a couple of steps wrong that I knew were right. He asked who told me to do it that way, and I said, "Tony." He's new, so I'm not sure he knew who Tony was. There are some things where there is some leeway in what direction you take or how far you go. It is not a question of right and wrong. So to even approach any student that way, particularly an obviously experienced one, is not conducive to building a rapport.
I had dropped my new phone and the screen was cracked. So I had an apt. on my way home to get it replaced. But when I got to Laguardia, my flight home was cancelled due to freezing rain in St. Louis. It warmed up in the afternoon, and I was able to get there about 5 p.m. I missed my apt. and couldn't wait the 2 hours they said it would take.
I had another conference in Washington, DC the next week. That went well, and I headed home on Sunday, having rescheduled my phone apt., and planning to pick up the puppy. I dropped the phone off and then drove another 30 mn to get the puppy. Then we headed back to get the phone before heading home.
Poor baby was carsick. I would have preferred to have my husband with me so one of us could drive and one of us could hold him. He threw up 3 or 4 times in the box I had him in. I had to stop immediately each time to clean it up because he wanted to eat it! Yuk!
It hasn't even been a week, and he's already figured out (almost) where to do his business. That first night, he woke me up to pee, but the second time I didn't believe him fast enough and he had an accident. He pretty quickly figured out not to pee on the carpet, so the last couple of accidents have been by the kitchen door on the tile (which I don't mind at all). And last night, we only had to take him out once.
I've taken him to the office a couple of days, and he plays hard, and then lays down for 1-2 hours. He goes to the back door and sits when he wants to go out. The only problem is that there is not much grass, and he wants to eat rocks.
So, as you can imagine, we are very busy with the puppy. His name is Cha cha cha because he is an English golden retriever (they are cream colored rather than goldish). And you know in Britain (ie. Len) calls the dance Cha cha cha. But we call him Cha cha. Here's a photo.

Ok I am apparently slacking on my duties in the Sisterhood. For this I am truly sorry and I feel terrible about it too.
I must wish a huge belated birthday wish to two of our sisters.
To Annie and Tango....
So Happy Belated Birthday to you both...
Sending you both lots of love and hugs!!!CEK You couldn't be a terrible anything, even if you tried. My birthday is Feb. 13; when is Tango's?
Thanks for the wishes. I know I'm the eldest of all of us and am thankful to still be around. I just turned 80 but feel as young as my son and DIL -- 55 and 54. As we age, we stay mostly the same although wiser (to be hoped), but our bodies do these strange things to us. Tango, with all your dancing, I know you are probably in better shape than any or all of us. Happy Birthday to you!
Oh Annie I am so happy to see you. I do hope you had a wonderful day. I know all about the strange things that our bodies do. LOL..
Tangos birthday was the 8th. I am sure with all her dancing she is in great shape.
I hope you are doing well. Hope you stop by more often. I miss everyone not being here. Will be so glad when the new season comes this fall.
Take care of yourself.
HUGS
Goofed off all day. Went to lunch with my son and DIL, and that was fun. They wanted me to have a big party (like my DIL's mother did when she turned 80, but I nixed that.

Evening everyone, hope you are all good today... It’s been a hectic week so far this week. My daughter has been sick since last Thursday and she finally went to the doctor on Monday and she has fluid in her ear and a touch of bronchitis. Keeping my fingers crossed that I don’t get it.
Not sure if I told you all that I had allergy testing done and that I got the results back and I had no reaction to anything that I was tested for. So allergies re not my cause for my having bronchitis so much. It is good I guess that I am not allergic but I would like to know that something is triggering it. Well I go the end of March fora Kung function test so maybe that will give me some insight to what I going on.
Well I wanted to remind y’all of the that tonight is the season finale of the Masked Singer, so if your free at 9 tonight stop by and watch with us. It is a good show to “chat” with our sisters.
Well I am gonna go and finish up a fee things before the show. Have a great night everyone. HUGS
