Morning Sisters...

Hope this finds you all doing well so far today.  Sorry I was not at the "AGT" Chat last night.  Kaleb's spring football team is the # in the city and the first night of playoffs was last night and they one so they play for the championship on Saturday.  He is the younges, smallest and it is his first year on this team but he is a quick little thing.  It is a flag league and he can run and snatch a flag quick.  He actually caught the ball last night but didn't go far with it. So needless to say by the time I got home and gave Pabst and and Oliver their meds I was gone for the night.

Then this is the last week of school and I went to all three of the grand childrens awards programs all at different times and different days and Kaylee the little one was at a different school than the other two. Kaylee had to do a rhyme and it was Little Miss Muffett...She was so cute.  So she will be in kindergarten next year at the same school with her brother and sister.  She is excited.  Kaleb got accepted to the "Gifted and Talented Program" offered by the city so he is excited and we are proud of him.

For an update on Pabst, Got the biopsy results back late yesterday and it was a Mast Cell Tumor but grade 2 and the margins were good so we don't have to do anything further but watch him because if they have one they can have more.  We are really happy about that.

Hubby and I have an appointment in a bit so I will try to post some much needed news when I return home.

Enjoy your morning everyone.  HUGS till I return!

Whoo hoo to all your grand children.  I know you are very proud !!!!

Hey, Luv.....first, let me say that the lunatics run the asylum here in CA these days!! What you saw on the net is, in fact.....and unfortunately.....true. There is such a bill which I don’t believe has actually been signed yet, but it will be, I’m sure. Start date is January 1, 2020.

Here’s the lunacy: there are plenty of taxpaying and/or low income people (as in US citizens!) in this state who aren’t able to get medical care for various reasons (separate issue). This idiotic bill would appropriate $98million to cover 90,000 illegal aliens (mainly singles, I believe) who are between the ages of 18-25. Now....if my math is correct, that is $1m PER PERSON PER YEAR!!!!!!!!! Further, that demographic is the least likely to use health care services, which makes be suspicious this is another ploy to add a new tax on citizens so the state can have more money to misuse for other things!! The numbers are wacko cracko AND the state is BROKE....so go figure!!! Makes ZERO sense, but the fact is that the folks who run this state are betting that if they get enough folks here they will either vote illegally and never get caught (CA refuses to purge its voter rolls of dead people, those who have moved, illegals who shouldn’t be voting, etc.) OR there will just be enough of them to keep this state on the same track it is right now. CA has an out-migration of taxpayers that is greater than even the numbers coming in illegally, if you can believe that!! I expect this state to eventually slip into the Pacific Ocean due to a flood of RED INK in the budget (if it were only so easy!). Very sad state (pardon the pun) of affairs.

Oh wow...I was hoping that this was not real.....all I can say is...…CA is living up to its name of being full of CRAZIES...lol.....Gunner and you NOT included. hehe.  I am not sure why this bill would even be needed.....people who go to the ER, get medical help....insurance or not....right?  Of course, that back ups the ER for those who really need immediate care, but that is a different subject.  This whole idea sounds wacko to me and like you say, just a way to bring in money from the citizens of CA so that the powers that be can spend it elsewhere.  I still do not understand why illiegals....those breaking the law....have more "rights" then those born here or those who have attained legal status in this country do.  IF they would become citizens and follow our laws and such, I do not think it would be an issue.  I agree, I think there is more "hidden things" involved here then "wanting to help" others.

You are right, Luv....the ER doesn’t turn anyone away. Again, this is for an age demographic which tends to be overall healthy and that don’t get sick frequently; hence, my suspicion of a ruse. It is, indeed, a wonder why it seems that the citizens of CA are trampled for alleged “rights” of those who break the law by virtue of crossing the border. Until Congress changes the law, illegal entry is still a violation of federal law....or so it should be! I also think this blurring of the law further illustrates the notion that we have a two-tiered legal system—one for the general law-abiding citizenry, the other for both the wealthy and the indigent. It seems very skewed, but I also think that we are seeing populist movements in many places around the world—-people fighting back against government tyranny. It is an interesting movie to watch. I believe that the human spirit can only be kicked down for so long before groups of individuals rise up and demand their rights to freedom. This has happened throughout history.

Life, liberty, property, and the pursuit of happiness are the genesis of our country’s founding. We should stand for upholding each of those principles....remembering that the pursuit of happiness guarantees nothing beyond the opportunity to pursue individual goals through hard work and integrity. As the eternal optimist, I still believe the vast majority of Americans value those principles, but we will lose them if we don’t demand their preservation.

So true....so true....we need to stand and hold onto these principles. However, I can see them slowly slipping away due to many factors, regulations and other things.  Our "younger generation" need to be taught about the history of this country and why it is so important to cling to these principles that made this country and its people "great".

I couldn’t agree more, Luv.  Here is the link to a very moving article (“I Learned About Patriotism on D Day”) I came across recently.  Most inspiring and amazing the gratitude still being displayed by those who were liberated in WWII.  Contrast that with our seemingly very short memories.  Hopefully this can be copied and pasted into your browser.

PS:  I tested it and you just need to touch or highlight the address and it goes right to the article.  External keyboard died so typing with a couple fingers!!!

I absolutely love him, and he’s an incredible person. We have this friendship that I have no doubt in my mind is a life-long friendship.  Getting a chance to know him away from training for Dancing With the Stars, I think we've gotten a chance to know each other in a different way, which of course just makes you closer. Meryl
We fell in love, but our way. Maks

Great article...thanks.  We, American's really do have a short memory and do not "remember" or really understand how lucky we are and what price many paid so that we may have the freedoms that we do.  It is a shame that many are willingly ready to "give up" some "rights" that others gave their lives for....

Afternoon to all my sisters on the board.  Hope this finds you all doing well today.

Bach Couple Update: Joe and Kendall seem to have adopted Joe’s super cute friend Alan Bersten, whom he met through Dancing with the Stars. Look at him 😛! Isn’t he adorable? And he’s from a town in Minnesota really close to where I live! But he just had a birthday, which means he’s a gemini and I’m not sure I have time for that energy even in my dreams.
