HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY, SISTERS!!
Wishing each of you a happy JULY 4th doing whatever you like most to do with family friends, and even foes (which I hope are few!!)!! Last week in a Target store I saw a sign near the check stands that said, “The Fourth of July is Thursday, July 4!!”. I said to the lady in front of me in line, “That is the strangest way I’ve ever seen of stating the obvious!”. We both laughed! Yesterday I decided to order “Betsy Ross” flag t-shirts for hubby and myself....kind’ve in retaliation for Nike withdrawing the sale of some pretty awesome shoes with the “Betsy Ross flag” on them that I would have been seriously tempted to purchase. Pretty sure there will be another company that will come out with something similar, tho!!!
Have a great day....and don’t forget to reflect on the reasons for celebrating July 4th, 1776....the day on which 56 patriots pledged their lifes, their fortunes, and their sacred honor in support of the United States of America as they signed the Declaration of Independence. Many of them died poor, but they following their convictions....and for that we should all be very thankful and work to preserve our liberties. Take time to read the Declaration with your children and grandchildren and help them understand our freedoms, that freedom is not free nor should we take it for granted. (End of rant!)
ENJOY YOUR DAY!

6.6 on the Richter scale in Searles Valley near Mojave/Ridgecrest near Death Valley. Not a heavily populated region out there...but for us to feel the intensity and rolling motion is kind’ve a big deal!!
